I have never once in my life, left, or have been asked to leave, a pamphlet on anyone's doorstep.

Well, maybe we dont really expect to CONVERT somebody like you. Do you think that maybe there might be a completely different reason for pamphletting such persons. For spreading the word abroad, to both the grateful and the sneering contemptible ones. Maybe the "slaves of love" want to spread Christ's sacrifice "to all the world" at the end of time.

This kind of evangelism isn't very effective in terms of the amount of material passed out. The idea is to hand out thousands of tracts in order to find the one or two that will be affected by them. It's like bulk email -- you send out a million and hope to get ten responses.
So there's nothing personal about it. Nobody has investigated your particular worldview and decided you must need a gospel tract on your doorstep. They're just putting gospel tracts on everyone's doorstep and yours happened to be on the route.

There is no way for you to be certain that it is not real.
The only way to have a solid opinion would be to explore the bible or other religious backgrounds for years, open your mind, heart and soul and experience it for yourself.
I go to a Pentecostal church and i love all people of the world. I would never try and force someone to do anything.
There are over 11,000 religions.
I happen to feel in MY HEART that Jesus is the answer.
I have felt him and feel him inside my soul.
NO one can make you believe anything.
However in order to deny something you would obviously first have to have that inkling of a thought to the possibilities of there being a God.
I have had MY experiences. I have my reasons to believe.
You have your reasons to deny the possibilities.
Have a nice life.

Unless you put a sign on your door saying "athiest" they wouldn't know not to put one there. They could be church of Christ and trying to convert a baptist for all they know. So unless we start posting our religious views on our doorsteps quit bitching.. or start handing out pamphlets that preach athiesm.. then maybe they'll understand and stop, but I doubt it. They believe they're doing good.. and people won't stop if it's good in their minds... whether I agree or not, Im just saying.

How can that action be viewed as aggressive or arrogant considering how much junk mail is floating around out there today? At least Christianity doesn't require $19.95 if you call within the next 30 minutes. It's monetarily free.

If you were not at home we leave pamphlets. If you are home and just ignoring the person at the door it is your fault. Why not answer the door and in a polite and caring way tell them you are not interested. I for one would thank you and walk away.

It seems that no matter what we do it is just never gonna be right.... big surprise..... we get knocked for not passing on the Word and speaking out, or we get knocked because we do...... *sigh*, and that is ok and the way it is supposed to be..... that too is in the Bible.... it is called prophecy....... go in peace...... God bless
