candidate? i was told people with health issues have prob;em getting hired...Since my asthma is mild, and rarely, if ever, flares up (besides times of extreme physical activity), will i possibly be discriminated against? I'm in very good physical condition, besides the asthma.

Also, are sociology, psych, P+A, English, and a math all that are generally needed? Any help appreciated.

Thanks for the answer. Looking at either pediatrics or OR/ER. I know they're vastly different, but I'm interested in both.. OR/ ER may help me to eventually become a Nurse Anesthesist, which would be great. =)

I really wouldn't go into your health history with an employer. You seem to have the asthma under control. As far as nursing I know many nurses and professional people with asthma and kept it under control. You may also want to think of what department of nursing you may want to go in. Just to keep ahead of the asthma issue.

Good Luck.
