What does our soul need?

The soul doesn't need anything. It only wants to go back to it's home. It started a journey in so many forms was wonderstuck with this world. It forgot itself, finally when it came into a human form it slightly thinks about itself & now the soul only wants to know itself & wants to go back home & that is then they search for spiritual masters.

For the other souls anything the mind wants.

Purity. Think what is the meaning of purity.

It means selflessness therefore good wishes and elevated feelings.
It means wisdom therefore peace and liberation from all bondages.
It means awareness of being a peaceful soul therefore beauty.
It means selfless love - a love wich gives rather than asks - and therefore harmony and splendor.
It means no name or trace of sorrow therefore sharing only happiness, self respect and regards.

It means all the good, nourishing virtues and powers taht make a soul healthy. Souls need health and purity is the medicine of the soul.

Everything the soul needs is included in purity. Purity is so beautyful. There is nothing more beautyful than purity. That is why God is so beautyful - because He is Unlimited Purity.

A soul needs to regain the habit of purity because the habits are the only thing that soul takes with it wherever it goes, wether dead or alive, in this world or any other. Whatever habits (sanskaras) the soul aquires - that will be carried along as a blue pring everywhere. That is why it is said a devil would be sorrowful even in heaven and an angel happy even in hell. Devil is a soul with the sanskaras of sorrow and angel is one with the habits of purity.

What I have learned is that the soul carries with it the every minute record of your life. Your Spirit on the other hand is often mistaken for the soul. Your spirit needs the Love of God and the connection to people who are all one in connection to God because we all have a fragment of God within us even the bad people. It says that God's Love light shines on the good and bad alike. Our spirits need to master this world we live in. We must learn to be good and when we make errors , then we need to learn not to make them again. Sometimes the same thing we do to others comes back on us so we see what it is like to be hurt or disrespected. The soul and spirit work together and need the body as a vehicle that gets us around here on earth. If we can't get around, we are stuck and can only learn a little within our limitations.

If you are a Christian you don't have a soul, you are one. Genesis 2. Adam became a living soul. There are many references to it in the Bible. See Paul. The Church makes you believe that you have one. How else can they scare the hell out of you and the money out of your pocket?
As a living soul you need a spiritual life. Be at ease with the Universe as it is, not as you want it to be.

After reading the extracts of vedic philosophies (Advaida,
Vasistadvaida and Dwida) I am very much confounded with
the commentaries. You can arrive at no conclusive ideas..
Theology will finally land you up in Nihilism.
Better live as Long as you can without harming anyone.
Death is certain. You will never know what happens afterwards.

Just like human body needs food for its proper functioning and maintainence. It keeps our body parts functioning and does not allow it to rust. Similarly, our soul was very pure when it was blown into our bodies. As and when we commit a sin, we hamper its purity. Our soul also needs food for its regular maintainence and to keep it intact in it's original state. The food that we give to our body is in accordance with the materials our body parts are made up of. For eg: we eat food which supply vitamins, proteins, minerals, calcium etc. to our body parts. Similarly our soul is blown in by ALLAH, hence nothing can serve it better than words with rememberance of ALLAH. These words heal our souls and help in enriching it.
