It works, but not terrific. I need to have a solution of it that moves along easier. My colon is really messed up. Can anyone suggest a smoother formula?

Guys- your GREAT! More- my gastro said I could save Diamonds real good. She would give me Diamonds to save for her in my colon, and they would be perfectly safe! She said I could any of the over the counter bulk stuff, because "it wouldn't hurt you!". Another thing, lots of raw veggies are gas-producing. I have been blessed with this problem.
As you know- the moment one sees a different doctor......there starts pills, and try this and that. For some reason- doctors LOVE to put you on drugs.
Guys- your answers were good! Something is bound to work better!

My daughters dr. recommended her taking 2 tablespoons of mineral oil orally each day for awhile. It start to help her and she would poop on a more regular basis. Mineral oil is more natural than pills.

Probiotics are good, I would suggest that you keep taking those, but drink more water. That will most likely make the biggest difference. I think someone else said this. Also, eating fiber will help. Someone else on here said something about mineral oil, I hope they come back and read this. Mineral oil is okay every once and a while, but generally mineral oil is not good for you. Mineral oil ingested the wrong way and getting into your lungs can cause pneumonia and ingesting it causes deficiencies of vitamins A, D, E and K. This is also true for using it on your skin. It is something to generally be avoided. Try to cut out diary and cheeses, as those are binding in your intestines.

first of all, sorry about your situation. I have heard and tried mineral oil, it is very bad in taste. Try also GREEN TEA and increasing your water intake. I like to keep it simple and as natural as possible when I run into that problem.
Some other foods that can help are PAPAYA and COFFEE, coffee makes some people go, I guess cuz of the acid in it.
Here are some other healthy/natural ideas:
grapfruit, orange juice
prunes (fruit/juice)
eating fish AND a salad together works for a lot of people ( don't know why, it's weird.)
Well, I hope some if not of these ideas help you, and hope you feel better soon.

You may want to head over to the doctor's office for a medical check-up if you haven't already.
If you have, take all medications as prescribed and tell the doctor that you are taking the acidophilus. [It is good practice to always list all vitamins and over the counter meds as well as precribed meds for any doctor that you see].
If you are able to medically [some people have fluid restrictions because of medical conditions] you may want to increase both the amount of exercise you get daily [even walking is good exercise] and increase the amount of water that you drink daily.
Best Wishes.

I would suggest you talk to your Dr. He/She can prescribe you something that is good for long term use. You may need a stool softener like Colace, or something stronger. I wouldn't self-medicate if you plan on long-term therapy... or more than one or two days every couple of weeks. The stuff available on the shelves at the drug store aren't always the healthiest for you.
Good luck!

Colon Green from the health food store works for me. It's like ten bucks .It clears you up over night. And there is really no pain involved at all.IN fact I"m going to go take some now because I ate ice cream and that stuff twists my gut.

You should be able to get more regular if you start eating more fiber, like wheat or bran, and lots of raw veggies and fruit. Try to cut out things like cheese or dairy for awhile, at least in excess.

Have you ever tried just a Fiber laxative? These come in powder forms, like Metamucil, or in pill form, like Fibercon.

Probiotic will do more for you, and increasing your water intake is essential. You need to drink at minimum, 2 liters of water a day.

As a family we pray before each meal. We typically give thanks for this day and for the food provided, we sometimes ask for blessings on the meal and then we add something else like to pray for those who are less fortunate or travel mercies for anyone known to be traveling. We rotate the prayers around the table with our children and have done this for years. Teh younger ones have great prayers about the snail they found or about the mean boy next store or for the new bike. As they got older they were a bit more serious but always all important. I often forget to pray just before the meal. Thanks for the reminder.
