About whether some person that they've never met kills themselves. Are you guys just doing it for the two points? Is there any other gain?

And on a semi-related matter, do you have to kill people to be a psychopath, because as you can see I don't have much of a concience and was wondering if I was a psychopath?

God cares, so he sends you people when you need them most to draw you closer to Him.

To answer your psychopath question,....the definition is below, but how do you define the difference between having a mental instability over someone just searching life out? You are doing exactly what kids your age should be doing and more of them should be questioning the world around them. However, taking a life would only add to the miserable side of things. Why not change it for the better and hang out a while longer? Keep up with the questions! We have schools here in the states that train people to go through the thought process you are walking through.

I don't care on purpose because really sitting around depressed about all the bad things that happen to people is pointless, stupid, and only makes more bad things happen (because then you're upset too).

As for the psychopath thing.. Psychopath is one of those words so over-used it doesn't really mean anything any more. But "lack of empathy" is considered sociopathy. http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-a-sociopath.htm was the clearest description I've found. In my opinion, where a lack of empathy really crosses the line and makes you a 'psycho' is when you are so completely detached from other people's emotions and your own conscience that not only do you not care about strangers' pain, but you have zero qualms whatsoever with the pain of people in your life, even if you are the cause of it.

Hmm.. I'm still having a hard time describing it in my opinion, but hopefully you get the gist. Basically, if you are concerned that you might be a "psycho", you're probably not a sociopath. But if you aren't concerned.. well.. maybe go see a psychologist.

i care because i was a mental health worker for 30 years and am retired. i miss helping people , and this gives me a chance to help other people. it is also human nature to try to help other people. i worked with many psychopaths when i worked in a hospital for the criminally insane. you do not have to kill people to have a psychopathic personality, but most people that fit this category are sociopaths. the fact that you are asking this question, means you probably are not . people that are a true psychopath, would not ask this question, and they never think they do anything wrong. hope this helps

I mostly care about birds, not humans. But i care when birds suffer, and i can see how most people would care if people suffer. I guess some people think that as long as a suicide doesn't happen -- that suffering is not occuring?

P.S. don't kill yourself until you know what life is about -- and you won't know THAT until you are an adult and NOT living with your parents. Wait until you have your own place and your own job before deciding if you go on a murderous rampage or not.

I know what it feels like to suffer, and I don't want anyone else to have to go through the things I did. There is no exact why to it, it's just that if I hear about someone suffering it gets under my skin, it bothers me, I can't just turn away from someone that's in trouble. It's part of my personality and who I am. If I tried to, it would bother me. It would feel wrong and unnatural, and I would be unhappy with myself.

And no, you don't need to kill anyone. You may be a sociopath. It's pretty easy to find information on sociopathy. The answer to this on WikiAnswers details more about the question of treatment: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_isn't_there_treatment_for_sociopaths

Because killing yourself doesn't really do much but end your miserly life. Of course we're gonna feel sorry for someone who is lost, is depressed, a cutter, suicidal, lonely and all of the other problems in life.

Some are all of the above and it just gets me down that they feel such a way.

About 2% of the people that post in those sorts of topics don't care.

I do. We all should.

You've got nerve!

all of humanity is connected in some way. true human beings care for others as a natural result of this. if you do not, I suggest you may be a sociopath.
