I have some very spiritual minded contacts that seldom ask a question. Come on Brothers and Sisters, get your spiritual minds to working.

BOBBIE: Sister, I am sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. Its just that you all have such wonderful talents. And I am probably over in the other ditch. Probably shouldn't be asking so many.

Yes I do.

I have only asked about 20 questions in 7 months. 1/3 of those were not religious.

I guess my mind doesn't think in questions but rather answers most often. I am always looking for a sincere question that I know something about.

I know many have/do ask questions that get people to thinking about what ever they have got to say. My question I asked earlier was truly wondering how people respond to what I asked about.

This is something I need to work on. My biggest problem I have is within myself. I find it hard sometimes to put into words the things I want people to think about on the level that I want them to think.

Something that keeps me going on this site is going back and checking daily, sometime many times a day to see how people repond to my answers. Sometime I find I can clear things up a little better. Some times I find problems with my spelin and tYpIng. It's a big pet peeve of mine for someone to answer and never go back and add or check the answer to see how others respond.

There was a 2 questions last week that 2 of my other contacts answered that we disagreed own. I wish they would have come back and given more scripture references.

Here's the problem. It takes a lot more work to ask questions than it does to answer.

When I ask questions, I feel a sense of responsibility for them and I like to have a couple hours of free time to view the responses so I can either add my own comments as the discussion unfolds or I can ask additional questions based on the responses I get to the original set of questions. Which is why you will find when I do ask questions it is usually at a 10 - 15 questions in a very short amount of time.

When I answer questions, I can go back next day or later, at my leisure and add additional comments if I choose. I do not feel anywhere near the responsibility to try to guide or clarify the discussion.

While I would like to see more questions from some of my contacts, it is not something that I worry about. Nor do I feel at liberty to list who those contacts are, as whether they ask questions or not is none of your or my business.

Brother Don,

I do not ask too many questions, other than to offer Truth and Light. I understand this medium reaches alot of eyes, fulfilling the great commission in some sense. What questions could or should I ask some here, of dark understanding, that they may see the Light? Will any have ears to hear?

....God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Well, honey - "e-mail" them and encourage them to DO so!

...Then if there is a reason they're holding back - they can let you know!

BTW: Here's a great verse I heard in Church this evening that made me think of Y!A R&S IMMEDIATELY!

Colossians 4:5-6 Be wise in the way you act toward those who are not believers, making good use of every opportunity you have. Your speech should always be pleasant and interesting, and you should know how to give the right answer to everyone.

The King James words vs 6 as: Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

...Just thought I'd share that!
Peace.

Hummm...no. I think that the contacts that I have ask lots of great questions! :)
As for myself...I think the reason I do not ask more questions is that I tend to ask questions that require more "thought" that most people are willing to give.
People here on Yahoo R & S seem to want "quick and easy".
Not my "cup of tea".
But I suppose I could try harder to think of "good, Q & E questions?!"
Stay blessed!

Love in Christ Jesus...your non-questioning contact...me :)

I apologize Don I have thought of some questions maybe I should ask if I should post this or that. Because I have several I just want to make sure they are good ones.

Think I should have a second opinion with my questions.

Well, maybe, you might need to slow down a little, pause, and invite them to ask questions?
Maybe, they're a little shy, perhaps don't feel good enough to ask questions, maybe, your discussion groups are way too big, too formal, or they may think you will think them silly, if they ask a question.
perhaps you need to roll up your sleeves, jump down from the speakers box, put a bowl of minties in front of them and cool drinks, and make it more of a fun and relax environment, toss out the ties, and use visual pictures to generate more interest.
And ask questions from your group! get them to relax and open up, help them to feel 'safe' in doing so.

Yes, I enjoy the serious questions that challenge our knowledge. There are several here who ask the questions in a non-offensive manner and I wish they'd ask more.

Well, my favourite person to ask questions has been gone a month, but even before his absence, he had slowed down his asking of questions; trolls had burned him out.

He always asked great questions, was always respectful, and really caused me to think. I sure miss him: Serafim.
