They would tell your parents and talk to you about it. Also, they would convince you to go to a therapist.

YES I PROMISE YOU THE FOLLOWING IS A TRUE STORY ABOUT SOME OF MY FRIENDS THAT ARE CUTTERS!!!!!!!
Ok.
I have a friend, her name is Shelby. I have another friend,
her name is Devon. They both are tight just as i am with
them and they are both cutters.
They both have parents that abuse them.
Our guidance counselor doesn't seem to be steering them
into the right direction.
They are may not be aloud to go home for Thanksgiving Holidays,
they may have to go to a Foster Home, because the school is afraid
they may commit suicide.
They have been reported numerous amounts of times by
good friends, i've never reported them
If other of your friends know, you will be reported.
This adds onto thier stress, which makes them cut more,
which gets them in more trouble.
I say, its probably not the best idea if a friend of yours
told the psychiatrist, but if you did, it may not be as bad,
but they may tell your parents about this.
Just try and stop cutting!
I swear, what i just told you is a true story. We are still in the
middle of our friends cutting themselves.
Oh, and Friday, Devon had a party, Shelby had to leave
early, because someone reported Shelby to her mother
about cutting herself.
Yeah. Its getting worse and worse!!
Just try not to cut yourself.
Don't tell friends.
If you are concerned, tell a psychiatrist.
I'm telling you not to, because it may add onto stress and lead you to cutting more, which is bad.
Good Luck!
Go ahead and tell, or just try and stop on your own!

You have to know that cutting is a control issue that is only a temporary fix to whatever you are stressing over. Cutting will never change a thing in your life. Your mind will trick you into believing that the cutting is bringing you so kind of release from your problems really it is destructive mentally and physically and it will not solve your problems.
You are going to have to learn how to deal with your problems in a more constructive way.
You also must know you are loved very much and needed. You are one of a kind unique we all are and so are you. There has never been anyone like you and their never will be. You deserve better for yourself. You body is your temple and you are destroying it slowly. Show yourself some love you are so worth it.
God put you here for a reason you are not a mistake. God has a plan for your life and cutting yourself is not part of that plan. You can do this believe in yourself to be strong stand up to your problems.
My suggestion is to start with praying to God let him know what you are going through he wants to hear from you he wants to hold your hand he wants to walk with you through all your problems he is open 24/7 and he never goes on vacation. What have you got to lose nobody has to know you pray except you and God. Good luck and God Bless

I understand this issue because I also cut when I was a teenager. I really want to encourage you to talk with the school psychologist about it; part of their job is to know about that stuff and help people change the behavior. It is awesome that you are asking for help, and you can definitely get through this, with some support. Please give talking about it a try--I know it will help. Good luck, and know that you can learn new ways to deal with your feelings--I did!

If you're 16 they don't have to tell your parents, but they probably would. They would make you see themselves or another psychiatrist for a while too.

They would work with you to get you help. If you're extremely worried about your parents finding out, you can always ask them before you say anything if they will tell your parents. If they tell you they have to maintain your confidence and not tell anyone, then they won't. But sometimes it can be good to start with telling your parents.

i used to cut also
its probably better to see a professional rather then your school counselor. just tell your parents you don't feel well then tell your family doctor, there allot more understanding then a school counselor. my school counselor threatened to send me to a phyc ward when i told her.
also try other things when you feel the urge to cut...
holding an ice cube worked for me
