Common sense would not win, if you were asked the question,"Where did Paul make his first missionary journey?"
Common sense would beat out religion if you wondered whether you should swallow broken glass.

All things are relative. There are subjects that I would never rely on common sense to solve, and some upon which I would not rely on religion to solve.

If you are religious, however, you would realize that common sense came with the brain, which came from God to begin with. If you are not religious, then common sense is good to have. Common sense will eventually lead you to believe in God. Common sense should encourage you to read the Bible, and the Bible will lead you to God.

Practical Catholicism has always been grounded in common sense.
