My guy is a naturalized citizen (from another country). My son's friends will sit in my home and berate people from his country on a regular basis. I have spoken to them about it - but it seems to fall on their deaf teenage ears.
I'm ready to throw the bunch of them out of my home but don't want to embarrass my son. Suggestions?

Block them from coming to your house. Just tell your son they are crude and you don't want them there. If you embarrass him so what. He knows who and what they are.

Throw them out. Well, not literally but when you catch them talking like that invite them to take it away from your house for the rest of the day. You can't control what they think but you don't have to provide them with the forum to express those thoughts.
If you're afraid of embarrassing your son then talk to him about the issue first. Let him know exactly what you're going to do if you catch that talk in your house and then don't feel bad about following through. If you allow the talk to go on then it may leave your son feeling like your guy really is not worth anything, that he's like those stereotypes, and that could cause problems in your home.

Are you shacking with this guy?Then they arent going to respect you and neither will your son.
However, tell those teens why they are wrong about some of the people from his country and explain to them you will not tolerate any more insults to his nationality, if they dont want to abide by your rules they can leave.
It isnt the teens faults, they havent been taught any better and YOU are allowing it.Be an adult there hon!

Racism is thinking that you are a better person than somebody else based on race. Calling a ***** a ***** is not racism. Calling him a ****** is nasty but is not racism. I don't see why your son should be embarrassed because guests in your house defy your wishes. He should be embarrassed now. Kick them out till they learn some manners.

if you have already talked to them personally about it, talk to your son, maybe he needs to find some new friends. ones you know how to repect other poeple. also tell him that if they keep talking like that in your house, you will ask them to leave.
if it happens again tell the "friends" that if they cant be respectful of other people that they should leave your house because you wont accept that kind of ignorant language and generalizations in your home.

I suggest that when they do it, you stop whatever is going on and have a long, long talk about how we ALL have bloodlines from other countries.
Also, I'd monitor my son's friends better. I would not allow my child to hang out with folks like that.

embarrass him! unfortunately it might be the only way he will listen.
tell him he knows not to speak that way, send his friends home and send him to his room to think about his behaviour. i'll be he wont do it again after that.
