Observation is a powerful thing. I observed a service with a different mindset today and I don't think I dig religion much any more. I am more convinced than ever it is just business as usual and the week are there for their happy meal of guilt, fear, community, salvation, and patriotism. Call me as wrong as you want. I am not sure that I care. The only question I have left is how long will Christ allow the band of idiots and theives mind the store.

Most of the so called churches today, DO NOT speak or teach the Truth about Gods Word. Instead, they only tell the people what they think the crowd want to hear and mix it all up with emotional silly man made music, to get everyone worked up, and to make sure theres going to be enough jinggle in the money bag for the preachers bread, butter and vegemite the following week!! We don't pay, to recieve Gods Word. Gods Word is instructive, educational for all areas of life, and it is filled with so many wonders and so many things to look forward to, and its the most wonderful way, to come to know how He works in our lives, in the world and other peoples lives, and the more time we spend with Him, the more we Want to!!!! and little by little, we come to know, love, understand, respect Him, more than ever before!!! There is ONLY ONE GOD, and HIS SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST. He wants ALL men everywhere, to repent, to change their lives for the better, to come to know and understand His plan and promises for this world, and to become like Him in all their doings and thinkings.
You have to pray about it, and search for His truths, and then you will find them!

Religions can go wrong, Jesus Christ is the truth. It looks like you need to change the church. You can make your church a better community to serve God with your own contribution, but sometimes it is better to change the church. Find yourself a church home where you feel spiritually fed and where you love to serve.

No one knows how Long Christ will let things go on as they are, but I read the Bible in my spare time, and I find that Christ is little like he stuff of religion.

Let me get this straight: You watched one service, and now you're writing off religion altogether? That hardly seems fair to judge a whole religion based on one service of one church of one denomination in one area, etc. etc. Try going to another church. All churches and religions are not created equal.

Remember this when you close your hand to point your finger 3 of them are pointed back at you!!! Don't get me wrong I'm guilty of it too. I think we all are. It seems to be human nature to judge others. I like to believe that the more you believe in the goodness in others and their ability for positive results the more you will notice your own goodness. In short a positive attitude invokes a positive response.

I'm glad you've discovered that church is a business like any other, but you should probably take care to consider that perhaps your aggrandized messiah is little more than a re-write of Mithra and is not ever coming back.

Great point. I wish I knew. But all are not like that. You ever been to a Mormon church? Quite different than the norm. And no one is getting paid to be there. Just a suggestion. I like your attitude.

Sounds like you're in the wrong church. Our service today was very educational. Still conservative, almost fundamentalist, but loaded with good truth without the blatant appeal to emotions to be effective.

Congrats on not being a sheep! You may yet be saved and liberated from the chains that shackle you to nonsense.
