Dear enarchay,
You should read the link you provide properly, the answerer have explain clearly about "Lifted up" does not means Death.
Your intrepretation of the Quran (Qur'an 5.117) and (Qur'an 4:157] is wrong, cause Jesus(pbuh) is still alive and it is with Allah(swt), and will come in the second coming to Kill the Dajjal(antichrist)
Wallahwaalam

"condemn or praise"? Neither. I accept it as fulfillment of prophecy and as being THE event that created the covenant of the New Testament for forgiveness of sin and salvation of the eternal soul
Yes, Jesus died for my sins (as well as the sins of all people who choose thru free will to enter into the covenant with a sincere and repentant heart).
"yet the Jews were cursed for it"? By whom? Again, it was the fulfillment of prophecy. AND the vital part of the covenant with the one true God. "cursed"? No, not really. Not even an issue.

I am thankful that Jesus died for our sins. Without Him, we are all condemned. The reason the Jews fell into condemnation was because they did not recognize the time of their visitation. They refused to accept Jesus as the Messiah...yet, the Word of God tells us that the Jews are still God's chosen people and will be redeemed. God made a covenant with Abraham and chose Isaac to carry on that covenant once Abraham was dead. Isaac begat Jacob whose name God later changed to Israel...they are still and will always be Gods chosen people. God does not break covenant.

i don't curse the Jews for it because the Jews back then were persuaded by the religious leaders to have Jesus crucified so there's nothing about the Jews that I have a problem with. I am sad that Jesus had to be crucified but i am very thankful that He did too

In a way, didn't they curse themselves?
Mat 27:25 And answering, all the people said, His blood be on us and on our children.
Christ's work on the cross was decided before the earth was even formed, God had it planned.
Rev 13:8 And all those dwelling in the earth will worship it, those of whom the names had not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb having been slain from the foundation of the world.
God provided a way of salvation for those who are His from the beginning. The cross brought forgiveness and redemption, the resurrection brought justification. Without the cross, there is no forgiveness, no redemption, no justification, we would all die in our sins and face the judgment for them. Those who are His encompass all people groups, Jew and Gentile.
Rom 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone believing, both to Jew first, and to Greek;
Rom 1:17 for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; even as it has been written, "But the just shall live by faith.

The Jews were not cursed for it. Some people mistakenly blamed the Jews for it, or used the crucifixion as an excuse to blame the Jews for something.

The Jews were cursed because they couldn't keep the law, and they were, for the most part, unwilling or unable to accept their redeemer, when he presented himself to them.
Anyone who fails to keep the law brings curses down upon themselves, and since nobody has ever been able to keep the law except Jesus, Jesus remains the only path to salvation for all.
This includes Jews, Muslims, and everyone else.

Jesus became the curse of the Torah on the cross for Israel. But what is more significant and miraculous is Jesus' vindication and resurrection. Even the Qur'an testifies Jesus died (Qur'an 5.117) and Allah lifted him up to himself (Qur'an 4:157]

Your logic is faulty.
God chose to become a Man, for several reasons.
He chose to know first hand what being human is like.
He chose to give us a chance to know Him face-to-face, as He really is.
He chose to clarify some misunderstandings about Him and His laws.
AND...He chose to become flesh and blood, in order to pour that blood out upon the altar of our salvation...
Remember, He also said that it was necessary for offenses to come...but woe to them by whom they came...
Your remark that "the Jews were cursed for it" is not entirely true. It is like saying that we ought to blame all Muslims for the acts of the terrorists...
Certain of the Jews...basically the religious leaders of the time...wanted Jesus out of the way, and they were behind the illegal arrest, they were the ones who found him guilty of crimes deserving the death penalty, and they forced Pilate's hand, to make him sign the death warrant against his will.
Now, let me ask you...do you condemn or praise Allah for pulling a fast one on the people...making them think Jesus was being crucified when He was actually whisked out of harm's way at the last minute, and a substitute was sacrificed in His stead? Or, did God just make a holograph...an image to make people think they were seeing something that wasn't there??
Sly one, that Allah...but if he would pull a stunt like that, how coudl you ever know whether to trust him or not??????
