if you were a traffic cop and you parked your bike and went into a shop and i was walking past,with sore feet and borrowed your bike to get home because i was so tired would you be annoyed with me?

Well, put it the other way around. Suppose you had parked your bike outside a store and someone else with tired feet "borrowed" your bike to ride home. You come out of the store, your bike is gone, you have no idea where it is, and now YOU have to walk home. How would you feel?

I would not only be annoyed with you, I'd beat the crap out of ya when I caught ya. No matter what the excuse is, Theft is Theft. If you take something that does not belong to you, you should expect a visit from the police or a visit to the hospital.
