In Latin, caeruleus was the basically the word for "blue" and simia was the word for "monkey."

Caeruleus left no descendants in any of the modern Romance languages however simia later developed into modern French singe (sæn~zh) meaning "monkey" also.

If you are trying to say "blue monkey" it would be simia caerulea because simia is a feminine noun.
