Contact some aid or volunteer organizations to see if they need people to go over there to help. Red Cross or some other foreign aid groups may know. Good luck on your mission..

Unless you have specialist skills you would be in the way. Give your Airfare to a group on the ground (eg 0xfam, Salvation Army, Christian Aid)

Appreciate your feelings but you will need more than enthusiasm to help out over there.
Most volunteers have specialist skills to a high degree.(not university) and a lot of them have to pay their own fare. They also have to undergo a rigorous training period. You can apply to one of the well known voluntary organisations.
Why not help out over here by raising money for one of the charities?
