I have always been really tired, and never wanted to do anthing around the house. I even lost intrest in working on my cars which use to be one of my favorite hobbies. My doctor put me on an antidepressant, but I dont think that is the problem. Now someone has suggested to me to take a multivitamin every day. Does anyone know if this will be of any help?

multivitamins, being synthetic, do you no good at all if you don't already have those in your system. They boost existing vitamins, that is why they are called supplements. If you think your fatigue and appathy are due to something other than depression suggest you try B-12 lozenges. NOT pills as the stomach destroys B-12. Get the kind that melt in your mouth and are absorbed thru the mucosa there. Start with 500mg daily.

I get fatigue problems a lot also, and struggle with mild depression most of the time. Also, I hate anti-depressants for a wide variety of reasons I'm not even going to go into.

Anyways, for the past few weeks I have been taking Nature's Way Alive Whole Food Energizer Multi Vitamin and can tell such a difference with my mental energy, positivity, concentration, and clarity. It's difficult to tell what it's done for my physical energy becase my sleep schedule has been all over the place the past week, so I've been actually more physically sluggish than usual. But really I can't even explain the difference this has made, I didn't even realize how blah my previous attitude was before it changed.

Sorry if I sound like a testimonial, but this particular vitamin helped me so much, and vitamins have never made one bit of difference for me before. Btw, if you believe you are truly depressed than this is probably not the answer for you, or at least not the whole answer.

Vitamins must be combined with the right balance of foods to be effective. Some vitamins are not activated unless they are combined with certain foods like Vitamin C. So in order to get the full benefit you must eat balanced meals.

Now, some research claims that multi-vitamins are nothing but a waste of money and do not work. But I beg to differ.

I have been taking a Flinestone vitamin daily, especially when I'm not feeling well or am under more stress. I can definitely feel a difference in my energy and I feel better.

Before taking anything it would be best to get your doctor's clearance. If your extremely tired all the time you might need to get tested to see if your anemic and if your lacking any particular electrolytes.
