Are you sure there wouldn't be any terrorism? Are the only people who have been terrorists in the entire history of the world been Muslim? Or did you think the term terrorist was coined in 2001?

Do you not find excuses to defend your own religion or lack of?

Yes, it is a terrible thing to have happened to that poor girl but there are people all over the world who do bad things who are not Muslim

Funny enough, some preacher at my college called me a terrorist because I'm Muslim.

First of all, Islam doesn't mean terrorism.
Secondly, women are treated equally in Islam. The sermon the other day at the Mosque is to treat your wife far better than yourself.
Third, it's okay to protect a country and be a patriot and loyal and all that stuff, but it's not okay to defend your religion? What did Joan of Ark and all other Martyrs do?

I am an American Muslim woman. I have many rights in Islam. Islam was the first religion in the world. It is the religion given to all the Prophets from Adam to Muhammad(PBUT*) and those that are not mentioned by name(PBUT*). ALLAH(Subhanna wa ta'ala) chose Islam and perfected Islam for mankind as their religion. Islam was the first religion to give women the right to an inheritance and the right to vote. Before this women were treated like cattle and dogs and treated like property. Women in Islam gained the right to vote over 1400 years ago while women in the USA didn't gain the right to vote until 1920 and didn't get their other rights until the 1960s. In the USA women were required to get their husband's permission to buy a house and couldn't sign their name on a lease or even own property until the 1960s. How is that for progress? Muhammad(PBUH*) did not found Islam. He perfected Islam. ALLAH(Subhanna wa ta'ala) sent 300 Prophets(PBUT*) to the people of Earth to show the people Islam.

Muslim women defend their religion too. I used to think how poorly Muslims treated women, but now I realize that those women want to be treated like that. Maybe they don't know any better, but that's what they want. That's what they think is right. I'm not saying that they want to be killed when they get raped, but they don't see any problems with their religion. They think that Islam actually gives "rights" to women.

For the same reason that Christians defend the bible to the high heavens when you show them the false statements and incongruity of the text. Think about this, it is always easier to cast stones at others but when you live in a glass and you clearly do watch out.

as far as i can see.... doesnt that apply to every religion on this planet?
if you look on the answers here....christians are defending themselves on some purely ignorant points that should have been put aside thousands of years ago... in fact... i do believe.... they blow up abortion clinics to this day ... kill people that are innocent ...and then say that it was gods will that they did this.
so when do religions start... to stop defending their .."unholy" actions against each other....and just ... be a moral race... because its the common sense thing to do?

Christians and Jews defend their beliefs. Athiests defend their lack of beliefs. Why do you think Muslims should be different?
