a blister is a protective mechanism, it is sterile and it will go away on it's own. If you pop it, you risk infection, and in this day an age with MRSA floating around in the community, it is never a good idea to pop a blister. Cover it with a bandage, wear loose fitting or backless shoes until it goes away by itself.

Yes it is. I got big ones on my feet from ruck marching and in all my wisdom I popped them. The fluid inside them is sterile and you don't want it to get infected from opening it. One thing you could do to help blisters on your feet is to take a needle and put a thread through it and then stick it through your blister till the thread is in the entrence and exit hole so it will drain out without a big hole. Salt helps too if you don't mind some intense initial pain.

A blister is a natural protection for the burned area. It also helps to lubricate it. I would let it stay as long as possible or comfortable. If it does pop, rinse with hydrogen peroxide and keep it clean.

Not necessarily.
If painful and fluid is at tension using a sterile needle poke a small hole on it. Don't squeeze the fluid out, let it drain naturally( this will stop the pain).
But now don't pull the skin off, as the healing will take place better under it.
But if in 4 or 5 days or if gets red and more painful see your doctor.
