Just curious how many people understand what one is and how they have affected their lives.

Tell me your stories.

My grandparents were married for 62 years. They were sweethearts all their lives. When Grandma passed, even though Grandpa was a God-fearing man and knew she was in Heaven, he was devastated at losing her. On the day of her funeral, it was dark and stormy, with thunder and lightning and rain lashing down. All through the funeral service it stormed, and looked as if it would go on all day. Grandpa cried like a child at the thought of having to take her to the cemetery and "leave her" in the rain. I don't know how many of us during that service were silently praying for the rain to stop, but there must have been several. Still, the sky was black. Then, as the funeral service ended and it was time for us to go to our cars and head to the cemetery, the rain stopped. Abruptly. And the sky wasn't cloudy and grey like it usually is after a storm. The clouds vanished as if they had been erased from the sky, and the sun shone as bright and clear as I have ever seen it. We walked out into a day that was suddenly beautiful. Grandpa was able to say goodbye to her there at the graveside, reassured that he would see her again. And most of us left the cemetery smiling through our tears. No one will ever tell me that was not a miracle, and no one who was there disputes that it was. God does hear our prayers, and for His good and faithful servants, there is nothing He will not do.

*Thanks. Glory to God.

Of course I do! The Bible states its the same yesterday,today, and forever. If miracles before. They can happen. I was born w/ a genetic disease that @ the time was considered terminal. I was too high risk for insurance to cover me. My parents were told to make my final arrangements and wait for my death to occur. Well, I'm going to be 37 this year. I wk. 40 hrs a wk,drive, am married. I'm not normal, but I'm not dead either!!!!!! God has totally healed some things, some not. Some things have come in an instant, some not. Miracles do happen!!!!!!!!

I believe in miracles, but I think we use the word too liberally. For instance, frankly, birth is not a miracle unless there was no chance of the child/mother surviving and they did. Birth is a natural event.

As far as if a miracle has effected me...well, I don't know. Some very wonderful, unlikely things have happened, but they could often be attributed to coincidence or science. I guess the closest two things I can think of is when my little brother was a kid and he fell into the middle of a Tilt-O-Whirl, where all the machinery is, while it was still going and survived because his leg got stuck in the itty bitty fence. Another would be when my fiance, who HAD a very rare heart condition, was cured by an experimental treatment. *Knock on wood* Don't want to take any chances!

Yes! I am a miracle being a live today... My mum had a problem getting pregnant. She had both of her fallopian tubes blocked. The doctor managed to unblock one. My dad had an vasectomy a few years before he met my mum, and then had it reversed after they got married. There was a very small chance that they could have a child... I've been close to death couple times... 22 years later I'm still around.

YES! I live with two.

I have a son born 3 months early I was told wouldn't survive the labor. He was born weighing 2 pounds, and didnt breath on his own for the first 3 months of his life. It was a long struggle. He is now 17.

I have a daughter who was diagnosed with Bi-Lateral Wilms Tumors (cancer in both kidneys), at age 4. I was told when she had suregery her kidneys would never work. She had two halfs, both worked. She lost one since as it worked but didnt do alot of its job and she lost it to infection from a bag that drained it. (forgien material was the cause). I was told she wouldn't live through the first year as she was a stage 5 and had agressive cells. Chemo did very little for her. She is now 15 and cancer free 11 yrs. Still only has half of one kidney total. She is still very tiny. She only weighed 23 pounds when she was 5 yrs old after that part of her ordeal.

I have witnessed more on that floor than my own daughter. I don't just beleive in miracles, I've seen them!!

Thumbs down all you want sweetheart, you can't tarnish my miracles. The smile on my face has not at all been lessoned. Cheers just the same! *Hugs* to all the other miracles!

Miracles happen.

It's the unexplained.

For some, a miracle is prayer that a person will recover from a horrible illness or surgery.

For others, that's not a miracle. Science has proven that if a person in the hospital is told people are praying for him that that person will recover better and faster than the person who thinks he isn't getting prayed for. (The control for this study was that NOONE was prayed for - they were just told that.)

This suggests (not proves) that the power of the mind is the true miracle.

Yes.

Hebrews 2
1Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

2For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

3How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

4God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

5For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.

6But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?

7Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
