Karma is quite complicated. Having an easy life does not maintain ones spiritual strength. Struggle makes the spirit stronger. There are consequences to ones actions, and how well one invests ones energy in this world. If you send out good energy, and invest it wisely in the right choice of people, you will get a good return on that energy. Some of the best people, are those who have been made fun of because of their uniqueness, and have become both strong and sensitive spiritually because of this. It is true the world is not as just, as it should be, but if the human spirit is put through a lot of tough tests, and it handles then well it will get stronger, and even if it does not pay off in this life, this strength of spirit will travel with it into the next. Hopefully, in the future, the morality of this planet will be elevated, so that we can make better use of all these special people, for the valuable gifts, and perspective they can give us all. We have a lot of problems in this world that are not being properly addressed, and if something is not done, a lot of people will see consequences.

In Karma conception, unhealthy karma can not be defeated via doing well karmas. The account for unhealthy karmas are separate. And the account of well karmas are separate. The results of karma can not be mitigated. It needs to be loved or suffered. There is a Sanskrit Sloka: "Avasyam anubhogthavyam kritham karma subha asubham; naa bhugtham ksheeyathe karma kalpa koti sathairapi". Meaning; We must endure the consequences of our karmas, if it is well or unhealthy. No karma gets erased via doing different deeds. Sometime we must believe that we aren't doing and that nature is bringing this sort of condition to drive us to take a normal path to adopt that movement. There is a pronouncing in Mahanarayana Upanishad: "Kamokarsheet Manyurakarsheet Namo Namah". It is an complicated factor, which I don't desire to provide an explanation for right here. Those who recognise can realize.

I think its more niave not to believe in karma. I think the longer you have been on this earth the more you see it in action. When I was younger I wondered why people got away with stuff. As I aged I realized no one ever really gets away with stuff. Karma is just the energy of cause and effect. Sometimes the energy is just storing up and will hit the person in one fell swoop when the conditions are the ripest.

I see karma coming back on people all the time. I had a teacher in school who was VERY mean to the students. He died the summer after I had his class. I had a bf who was abusive - dead by the police. I had a boss who was CRAZY mean and called me names. I actually moved out of the town to get away from him because he was the Mayor. He died in his sleep about a year ago. Recently, some girls in my class were rude to some of my classmates, the next day one of them came home to her hus leaving her. The other one almost got permanently kicked out of class on Thursday. She's on thin ice. I don't see her making it to the end of the quarter.
I just don't believe you can walk around being mean to folks and not get what you deserve.

I definitely believe in karma. My brother-in-law is such a negative person, thinking and saying negative things, ....he also has the worst luck.
Karma isn't about always having the SAME things happen to you, but negative for negative and positive for positive (thought, word and deed all apply).
Blessings.

It's kind of a silly thing to believe in, but I do...I mean, look at this world - of all the things that are possible, it would be naive to think karma is impossible...I knew someone who used to deal a lot of drugs, and bought a brand new car with the money...than, a couple months after, he totaled it. Than, with that insurance money, he bought another brand new car...a couple months later, he totaled it (and an uninsured driver hit him) so idk what to believe...

Starlight, the doctrine of karma is a common concept in Hinduism, Buddhism, and New Age thought.
Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism agree that our misery stems from “bad karma”—in other words, we reap what we sow (Gal. 6:7). We have sown sin and are reaping death (Rom. 6:23). We have rejected God’s love and chosen alienation.
The difference, however, lies in the prognosis. People who subscribe to the doctrine of karma do good deeds so their good karma will outweigh their bad karma, insuring a better reincarnation in the life to come. Christians, on the other hand, believe that since we are unable to escape the ultimate consequence of our “bad karma” (whose wages is death), we need to trust in the “good karma” of Jesus Christ, which is grace.
Starlight, you need to trust in “good karma” of Christ alone for your salvation.

I do believe in it. I think sometimes our souls choose experiences that will cause us to have greater learning and understanding. I think it is naive to believe there would be no reason or purpose to such a hardship.
