how can a 150 pound kid (who can only lift 40 pound dumbells) beat up a 210 pound kid (who can lift 50 pound dumbells) in a fair fight (not cheap shots(kicking him in the balls), no weapons,...)?

"No Cheap Shots . . ." So you want the smaller, weaker kid to stand there and slug it out?

Seriously, training to fight often amounts to being able to do things your opponent 1) cannot do and/or 2) doesn't expect. Hitting in the groin (or picking up a rock) is one of the best ways to do #2. There is no such thing as a "fair fight", unless you're talking about in a ring with rules and a referee.

That said, the smaller kid's best bet (unless he's a vastly superior stand-up fighter) is to take the big kid to the ground to neutralize his size advantage--assuming he knows how to fight there. Honestly, though, there are too many variables to give a complete answer.

Basically youre talking about a competition, because if its a street fight, things like punches to the throat, temple, headbutts to the nose and eyes, small joint manipulation, etc. are not only allowed, but advised in self defense. So if youre talking about a sport fight, well its a matter of who has the endurance to last through the fight. Who has the technique to go with their power and who has the best accuracy.

Strength really doesnt win fights, knowledge does. Ask any martial arts student or teacher and they will all agree. Knowledge of fighting is what will make you win.

There is no such thing as a fair fight. One person is always bigger, stronger or faster than the other. Maybe one is better trained than the other. Use what you have to use to make it out of the fight alive and as quickly as possible.

You should not be concerned with beating anyone. That's not the purpose of real martial arts. Making sure that you and your loved ones live safely is. Do what you have to do to protect yourself, but why fight beyond that?

A 150 pound kid vs. a kid bigger than me and you are thinking in terms of a fair fight-Hummmmmmmmm? There are no cheap shots and one of my students would probably poke him in the eye first or break his nose along with kicking or kneeing him in the groin and then proceed to beat him down before he had a chance to recover.

Don't get hit while being able to hit your opponent. Any type of martial arts will teach you how to do both, and if he hasn't studied any sort of martial art or had alot of fighting experience, some with the proper training will win at least 9 times out of 10 (and that's being generous to the big guy).

Is considered a cheap shot to break his arm or break his nose, because that's what I would be ready to do. If he doesn't want to get hurt, he shouldn't be fighting.

Rule # 1. The only fair fights, have a referee.
Rule # 2. Size and strength do not determine the outcome of a fight.

Okay !!!

The sleep easy option is to quickly close the gap and clinch him and tie up their attack ,then try to, headbutt , knee strike or use a left/right hook punch to the head/body if that fails in the clinch then just push them away and run :)

It's all about effective blocking and counter attacks. But you have to be trained to respond automatically, otherwise by the time you think about what to do, it'll all be over.

Throw the 40lb weights at him, that should sort it out!

Seriously though, what does weight and strength have to do with it?

It is not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog that counts!
