I really don't want to sound like I'm complaining or feel sorry for myself I'm just curious and listing the symptoms.
I'm 19, and Lately I just haven't been at all motivated. If I have nothing that I have to do that day I'll usually just stay in the house.
I feel like I want to sleep a lot for whatever reason.
I haven't had as much of an appetite either lately, which I'm actually happy about because its easier to manage weight that way.
I feel guilty a lot that I can't find a job, although I am looking and have applied many places and would take as many hours as I could get.
I also don't like people much. I mean I love my parents and am eternally grateful for how much they've helped me and that they let me stay in their house, but honestly, I just don't like spending time with them or anyone, I've never really been that social.
And for whatever reason I feel sensitive to noise, like seriously just being in a house with people and TVs on all day, idk why but it just pisses me off. And its like I can't feel peaceful unless I'm in the house alone.

I don't think it's depression. I think it's just another phase of your life. I mean like going through school and then all of a sudden graduating and then you and all the people that you grew up with are going separate ways.

You really should go ask a doctor for that if its that serious, the last symptom about you not liking people much is the most important of all. If you don't like people in general and just simply don't want and need friends, that is something to be concerned about, and its probably why you can't find a job.

You may have a mild depression associated with the current situation you are in and seeking a counselor for talk therapy will help you to cope better.
I also suggest the following; get some goals in life, what do you love doing, pursue it. What are your hopes and dreams, make them happen. Get out and exercise daily; walk, bike, hike, whatever, it helps with depression because it activates endorphins in the brain, which elevates mood.
Make sure you are eating healthy, no sugary foods, alcohol, street drugs, junk foods.
The last thing is to foster a relationship with God, if you don't already have one.

OMG you sound just like I felt all the time last year. Yea I am pretty sure that is depression, because I felt like this all the time; until I got some anti-depressants. I would do nothing all day but listen to music, lie there, and go to sleep. I lost 90lbs doing that, also I would pop a lot of prescription pills which never helps.

there is also different types of bipolar, you're just a kid in my book you should be out hanging out with other kids your age and constantly on the go you sound exactly like my son which he is also 19, he seeks counsuling also, he has trouble finding a job. he sleeps alot, don't talk alot either, and it's hard to get him motivated. make an appointment with a pyschiatrist, there is nothing wrong with seeking help your age, children get depressed just like adults do, besides we're only human.
best of luck to ya

I don't know. May be but to me it just sounds like you are upset. It wouldn't hurt to go to a doc though and let him check you out. Do you listen to music? That helps me. I don't care what mood I'm in. I'm depressed a lot but being around people sometimes helps me and being by myself definitely makes it worse. I have always been a people person though. Yours' may be depression.
