I assume you're talking about an HDMI cable that allows version 1.3a. I'm sure all HDMI cables sold now support it. I got my HDMI cable from walmart. Any cable will do, don't pay for a way overpriced PS3 cable. Most HDMI cables are the same, the only reason you would need to buy a more expensive one would be for lengths greater than 10ft. 1.3a isn't necessary at this time. It supports higher bandwith to allow even higher resolution which HDTVs can't even support. Unless you are using it for a computer it doesn't matter. It does support Dolby True HD etc. but no Blu-ray or HD-DVD player supports that yet, although PS3 plans on a firmware update to fix that in the (hopefully) near future. It doesn't matter if your TV supports HDMI 1.3a as long as your receiver does.

I checked BestBuy, Circuit City, and Walmarts website and I couldn't find any 1.3a HDMI cables. I did check Amazon.com and they had the 1.3a HDMI cables though. I guess most stores don't carry the newer HDMI cable yet or something.

I'm not really sure if a HDMI 1.3a cable can work with every HDTV, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with every HDTV because I think that the connection is the exact same.

Goto an actual electronics entertainment store or get it from the sony store. Yes it is compatable ...we've taken it to many houses with HDTVs that are anywhere from 720p lcd to 1080p plasmas.
