okay so my boyfriend and i have been going out for 2 years now and he wants to have sex but im not sure if ready for that commitment yet, but sometimes i feel ready to do it and i dont really know how to tell what im going through.

First, buy some condoms and keep one with you at all times. Most pregnancies and STDs come from a lack of advanced planning.
Secondly, this may not sound like the right thing to do but it is. Talk to your mother about this. She has already been your age and has likely had to answer this question for herself. The best answer to this question is going to come from someone with a bit more life experience than we have as teenagers. And, your mom will always have your best interests at heart.
