Many times when I was kid going to bed hungry and getting evicted. No prayer was ever answered and God never revealed himself to me.

The last prayer I ever prayed was asking God to reveal himself to me in a tangible way.

He didn't.

Most religious people claim that God answers prayer in 3 ways, Yes, No, and Wait. What they don't understand is that this can be applied to anything. If I pray to my toenails, they will always answer with a Yes, No or Wait, without exception.

Does that mean that my toenails are all powerful?

I pray all the time. And God responds in many different ways. Sometimes the answers come loud and clear and other times I look back when the situation is over and realize that I was guided in the right way. I believe that it was God that did this for me.

Yeah, and it wasn't want the answer I wanted at the time.

Once while in a mosh pit (and quite a bit younger) I asked Odin for a bit of help with "attracting someones eye".

Moments latter I'm sure I got pushed over despite no-one being close (It was early and the mosh pit hadn't got started properly), and put out one the lense's of my glasses. Bit shaken, but no harm to me.

Given what I know/knew about Odin I think the answer was fairly clearly " learn a bit of wisdom first!"

I always ask for things. I think my kids are healthy and I am. I have a woman I love, who I ask to fall in love with me, not sure she has, but she is still around.
We don't undestand how G-d works, and we don't know if are prayers are answered. They could be and we might not know.
