Should men be involved in the decision-making process if they are not the father of the child being aborted?
Should men even have the right to vote on whether or not abortion ought to be legal, since they are not the ones who will be going through the abortion process, or dealing with the after-math of the abortion?
Is abortion just another way for men to oppress women??
Since birth control is so easy to get, and when it doesn't work, abortion is a simple alternative, from the guy's perspective, anyhow, why shouldn't he pressure his girlfriend to have sex, even if she doesn't feel ready? If she doesn't "put out", someone else surely will...

Would a "pro-choice" man make a good choice for a woman looking for a husband and family??

I don't know, since I have never been intimate with a "pro-choice" man.
I guess knowing that he would be willing to kill any child we might make between us is a sort of a turn -off....

No, the man has no right either way--the woman is the one with the WOMB

All he contributed was something that would have gone down the shower drain any other night of the week

<> All of them! Use a little common sense - why would anyone who hadn't had an abortion in the past claim to have had one? <<5%? 8%?>> 100% <> How do you know, when you clearly lack the courage of your own conviction; you haven't confronted any of these women and asked them youself whether or not they really had an abortion in the past. And I know why you haven't done so - because you're afraid that the one you confront will actually have had an abortion. That fear isn't logical at all, if the percentage of bonafide claims is a mere 5-8%. <> And they would be utterly offended by the other women claiming to have had an abortion when they didn't. That's how you can be 100% certain that 100% of the women claiming to have had an abortion in the past, but now regret it, are being 100% honest. <> I think you need to prove the courage of your conviction and confront these women the next time you see them. That's what I think.

It's your body and you should take the time to consider what you might be doing to yourself. Many men do not want the responsibility of a child when a woman accidently gets pregnant. Birth control is fine and dandy but what do you do if it fails. I say this because my oldest son was the end result of a rubber gone horribly wrong. LOL !! A pro choice man shouldn't make any difference one way or the other.
Just so you know, men have been putting pressure on women since Adam and Eve. One other thing that comes to mind is sexually transmitted deseases. You don't just sleep with him, you sleep with everyone that he's ever slept with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some Birth Control pills can act as an Abortion in a round about way.
Hope you don't use them

Emergency Contraception (The "Morning After" Pill - "Plan B" - "EC")

You can prevent pregnancy after sexual intercourse by taking Emergency Contraception pills (Plan B). Plan B works by giving the body a short burst of synthetic hormones that disrupt the hormone patterns needed for a pregnancy to start.

Some types of regular birth control pills will work.

Emergency Contraception is most effective 24-48 hours after unprotected intercourse but it can work for several days.

So much to say on this.

a) There is a growing number of men who walk away once a woman becomes pregnant
b) if those who read above jump to "they pay child support"... go look at court doc and how many men actually pay. The numbers are lower then you'd think
c) Rape. No man to have decision making
d) Incest. Too traumatic to give them decision.
e) Woman and Child may both die b/c of nature of pregnancy.... it's her choice, and her life is in danger.

Men don't know child birth, or what it's like to have a child grow in them. Or the emotion, physical, and psychological changes that come along with ANY of the above type of pregnancy.

So, no. I don't think men have the right to tell me what to do with my body.

The choice of whether to terminate a pregnancy is a woman's choice and a woman's choice alone.

Abortion is not a way to oppress women - quite the opposite. The anti-choice base would like nothing better than to have women treated as gestation tanks instead of human.

I don't think anyone who has never been pregnant should be involved in the argument of abortion because they have no idea that there are GOOD reasons to get an abortion until they need one.

If abortions were outlawed you would have an epidemic of people trying to self abort. Self abortion will more than likely cause death.

Think of it, a young girl gets raped and becomes pregnant. The majority of rapes are done by people the victim knows and the majority of rapes go unreported. So if the girl doesn't want to keep the baby and doesn't want to tell her parents because they will disown her because its against the bible to be un-wed and pregnant, she might self abort.

This one girl in the news self aborted because her uncle raped her and abortion was outlawed in her state. She died because she couldn't muster the courage to tell her parents, so she took it into her own hands. She died of infection.

I personally don't like abortion but, it is a woman's issue. They must have the choice to choose what happens with their body. If men do not want to give their women the choice, then they are no better than muslim men who enslave their women.

I am pro choice, as long as both sides have their say, and it doesn't turn into a he said she said guilt trip.

Life is precious, but situations do arise where that choice needs to be considered only for medical reasons, life or death.

I hope this helps you.

I can see your points. I have to ask, if it's a woman's choice only, then why do men have to pay child support or take care of "their" children if a woman decides to have one? Most abortions aren't rape or incest either, so in cases where that isn't an issue, why don't men have any say?
