Fear of rejection looms over me from my last relationship so I really don't know what else to do because everytime I think I will say hi or smile at this other girl something holds me back. Can anyone help me with any tips or techniques I could use?

You just need to buy some roses and tape them to her locker and leave your picture. She'll start to notice you.

I can't give you advice on how to get her to know you, but I can give you a few ideas on how to get her interested in you.

Best bet is to find out what she likes. Then when you get the chance, bring it up in conversation.

Or you could do the romantic thing and send her flowers.

Or, if you work together... send her a funny e-mail... Laugher is the most powerful drug.

And if all else fails, just "happen to" run into her and strike up a conversation.

There's nothing wrong with a friendly "Hi, how are you?", for starters. It doesn't have to be anything heavy. If she responds, take it really slow, get to know her as a person & a friend. If she doesn't respond just as you like, don't take it hard - and know that you're not going to be out any self-respect for it.
