When I ask a question about God, or sin, or Adam & Eve, some people (even atheists) accuse me of lying, or being confused, or being hypocritical, or worse! Since I'm an atheist, of course I don't believe that God exists, or sin exists, or Adam & Eve exist, so how can I ask a religious question if not from a Christian perspective? Some call it "playing Devil's Advocate" - another religious expression!

damn, they can't even answer THIS question without accusing me of not being an atheist... for the record, I have been an atheist for my whole life (and an anti-theist for 10)

I spell God with a capital G because that's the correct spelling of the word... I am not like Christians that ask questions of atheists and misspell the word atheist!

I see nothing wrong with your questions.

You know my opinions already. You know I do not believe in sin. I know you do not believe in sin.

I answer your questions more for the benefit of the other answerer's.

Does that make sense?

Most people on here don't really ask questions with the idea being to get an answer, like "Is it OK to put a different size tire on my car if I get a flat and don't have the right tire at the time"? Instead of that, most people here ask questions to try to impress others with how much (or how little) they know. Like, for example, "How many of you __________ (fill in the blank) really think the earth is 6000 years old? Don't any of you _______________ (fill in the blank) ever read science facts!!!" It's obvious that questions are asked without any intention of taking answers seriously.

maybe you think something is wrong with the answers, when it gets down to it, very few are atheists, think about it, when you see a cross, does it remind you of Jesus? What about when you see three crosses together? What about when you are working the remote and you hit a preacher and the name Jesus comes out does that bother you, if it does then something there inside you, your instincts or a gut reaction is telling you there is a Jesus. It is written in our hearts and minds that Jesus is alive and real. Hebrews 10:16, That cross was the clincher, it paved the way for us to be saved and born again, it washed away our sins, Jesus was Perfect, and He died a terrible death on the Cross to save us, now all we have to do is believe, He offers a free gift, our sins are paid for, by his blood shed, Jesus offers You eternal life, you have free will though, Jesus loved you so much he died for you, the old lie the devil has been telling you getting old isn't it. The devil was a liar from the begining, Now that Jesus arose from the grave he has won the victory, all we have to do is believe, its that simple, just pray this sinners prayer and a new life with Christ can begin, just pray Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Writing an answer to rhetorical questions is, at best, a waste of time. The writer generally does not have a legitimate question, it is usually just an attempt to bait others. Why do you waste your time with R&S issues if you don't believe in God? There must be other topics of interest to you, you could actually ask legitimate questions and engage in real discussion.

Well, I'm a Christian, and I have no trouble seeing from your avitar that you're not. If I were to see a question posted from you from a Christian's perspective, I have the choice to answer it or pass it by. And, as you can see, I chose to answer it. Everyone has this same freedom.

As someone who just misunderstood the intent of one of your questions a few minutes ago, maybe part of it is the way you ask, and part of it is us being too quick to assume your intentions. You must admit, most of us on R/S can be, shall we say, a tad touchy once in a while?

I do believe that you are confused about your spirituality, cause if you don't believe in God, then first you wouldn't have spelled His name with a capital "G". Also, why do u even ask any questions in this catergory, if you are not curious?????

people believe what they want to believe.
if you don't believe in god what do you wanna know?
why do you ask them ?
Do you want to prove that you're right?
they think they're right.
If you're interested what they are believe in, you can ask them about it with respect.
