Just for lunch? What about your other meals? We need more specifics!

If you are eating salads at restaurants, sometimes they are almost 2000 calories. Even the ones at fast food places can get really high. You can look up the nutritional values online - they're pretty shocking!

If you're making them at home, make sure that you are also using things that are healthy, especially the dressing, cheese, fatty meats, etc.

You can lose weight by eating right and the right proportions without exercising, if what you had before was really that much more worse for you.

Don't forget about your proteins in lean meats too (but not to much - excess protein can turn into fat)! There's nothing wrong with having some grilled and seasoned chicken breast, a serving of steamed veggies, and a serving of brown rice! It doesn't have to be all about salads!

Water is great for you - but you can also have diet sodas, powdered lo-cal drinks, or powdered drinks made with Splenda!

It depends on what you put in your salad. I personally try to eat a salad for lunch also, but I'll drink like a soda or usually ice tea to get the craving out of the way. But, it's very important that you eat breakfast and what you eat for dinner and the snacks in between. It's really all about balance and portion control that will help with the the weight loss if you chose not to do any exercise. Also, it's a pain but try to count how many calories you are consuming everyday. Or, if you hate counting calories, Dr. Ian Smith from Celebrity fit club has this book out called the smash fat diet that will give you like different levels of how you can introduce certain foods to your daily diet without going overboard and it starts out with a detoxification with 9 days of just eating fruits, veggies, drinking water, herbal tea w/out sugar, no carbs, etc. It's really good. My friend lost a lot of weight within the past 6 months from his book. I was starting the diet last week but I got sick but as soon as I'm done I"m going to start. So, this is excellent. So try that. I'm sure you can research the smash fat diet by Dr Ian smith and i'll give you a lot of results.

That is not the best way to loose weight, you will only make your body produce fat. You can stay on salads and water but your body also needs protein. You can either eat chicken with your salads or also get protein powder. The best way to loose weight is exercise and eat portion meals every 2-3 hours. Portions usually is about the size of your fist, and if you want to include grain the best one will be brown rice (1 cooked cup), lots of fruits and vegetables. Just dont forget protein.

welll i dont quite recomend u do this it is very unhealthy and may cause some problem u will go threw fatigue loss of train of thought because ur not giving ur body the supplements it needs and because a salad and water will not fill u up u body will begin to store fat rather then burn fat u are beeter off eating healthy eating all the right supplements for ur body rather then taking them away and have a regular excersise everyday and take care of ur self

To lose weigth without exercising, you have to consume less calories than you need for a day. If you are lower than the recommended calories intake, then you will lose weight. If you exercise, you lose calories. So it's faster to lose weight eat healthier and exercise. Also, you better eat more during the day than the evening.
If you are a girl, I recommend you to join a group exercise where there are cardio classes. It's really fun

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

dont be such a lazy ******* **** get on your bike and ******* work to lose weight "if i drink water only and eat salad for lunch everyday will i loose weight" what a ******* stupid thing to do it screams easy option but you wont last your mind always gets the better of you

Don't confuse thirst with hunger. Drink a glass of water once you feel hungry to see in the event that's what you're really craving.

You will but it won't stay off for long. This is not healthy and is temporary.

If you eat healthy, all the time, exercise and drink water, no junk foods or sugary foods, you will fare much better by keeping it off.

When out with a restaurant, ask the server to carry the bread, snack mix or chips and salsa that might come before the meal. For anyone who is hungry, you'll be tempted.
