basically for people from non-EU nations, you cannot come in unless you are in a shortage occupation (e.g. therapists of different kinds, any geotechnical related professions like geoscientists or petroleum engineers etc.) - the list is on the govt website.

In fact, if you have these technical skills, you are better off somewhere in Europe where you will be more welcomed. To be frank, Britain is not an inclusive society. It does not welcome foreigners. Sorry but true. Don't get me wrong, I like people from all over the world - they bring in all sorts of skills and the society benefits as a result.

First, you need some work experience and a skill that's in short supply here, as the job market is really competitive, so the UK governement won't believe that you can get work here unless you have those. Then apply for a visa and come here to look for work. This is the most expensive country in the world to live in, so you'll need a good float of money to keep you going whilst you look for work.

Just do what the thousands of others do and stow away on a truck, as it's well known that absolutely no checks are made even if you are caught you will still be able to walk away and disappear.
So why would you need a work permit ?
