I've had Paintshop Pro for forever and I like making arts and wallpapers and such. I am upgrading finally to PS and I was wondering what you guys suggest is the best version. There is the term CS thrown around and I don't have any experience with PS. Any tips? Preferable coming with an animation program that surpasses Animation Shop.

Well, CS3 is the latest Photoshop with improvements and new features.
CS3 Extended delivers everything in Photoshop CS3 and in addition allows users to import 3D graphics created in other applications, manipulate those objects and composite them with other 3D objects and with regular 2D layers.
