I think it's very ignorant to say someone is more/less beatiful based on skin color. beauty comes in evry color/shape/size/race. Plus, have you ever seen some of the runway models? they have the darkest skin, and are gorgeous....makes me jealous ( me being veryvery white) so ignore morons who say dark skin isn't pretty!

I would have to agree with you. I believe anyone can be pretty regardless of wether you are black, white, yellow or whatever color. I wouldnt say that light skinned girls are prettier than dark skinned girls, I would say what matters is how you actually look. Wether or not you take care of your body, hygeine, intelligence, but there are so many aspects of what different people consider pretty, so I am gonna say if your pretty than your pretty but if your ugly your ugly no matter what color skin or light or dark skin. sorry for the novel, you were probably looking for a short answer.

I believe that it doesn't matter about the tone of the skin since I know some dark black girls who are wayyyy prettier than many light black skinned girls.

I've never been told that lighter girls are prettier..

(I'm a really really light black girl) .. my avatar looks white though, but that's the color of my skin..

i know that the light skinned girls hang out with each other.. and darker girls sometimes think that light girls "think they're cute"

I've also seen/known/related to beautiful dark skin girls... i guess it's just society

you know what they say.. the darker the berry...

anyways, yeah. i think there's tension sometimes between light and dark. but we're all black. so it shouldn't matter....

did you ever see school daze?

The most beautiful woman I've ever see was dark. I mean DARK. But beauty isn't everything, this woman was pure Evil.
But, no, light skinned are not always considered prettier, at least not by me.

It doesn't matter what type of color ur skin is u will always be considered beautiful to someone. I guess it just depends on the guys opinion, don't u think so?

It depends on your features. If you have ugly features, then you'll be ugly no matter what skin you have. Certain skin colors can diminish certain features, or highlight them as well. So it depends on how you're pared. I have light skin, and because of my Asian/mixed heritage, I have skinnier eyes (not slanted or totally slit), and I have light eyes. I also have high cheekbones and whatever. I believe it depends on the features of a person and the pairing of his or her skin color, not just their skin.

Some people sadly do think that. I don't think that's true at all. I have seen some dark skin women to and I think they are beautiful.

I'm dark skinned and never had a problem getting compliments from people of all ethnic groups and my daughter is light skinned and we're treated basically the same.
