Judas DID believe in Jesus. He was even with Jesus when Jesus preformed miracles. But money got the better of him. Just like so many people in this day and age.

Judas was the groups treasurer and keeper of the money bag. He had been dipping into that bag many times, but Jesus knew this. Jesus also knew that Judas would be the one to betray him.

It might not sound like much money to you, but in those days 30 pieces of silver was a lot of money.

Judas was supposed to betray him. Jesus knew this so there was not point in confronting him - his death was already a set event.

Interesting question. Jesus wasn't willing to confront Judas, and yet the Christians here feel compelled to confront non-Christians. Seems they haven't quite learned from THAT particular example, that Jesus taught what he taught, and then left people ALONE to decide, rather than trying to shove his teachings down their throats.

Maybe they need another lesson; example doesn't seem to cut it for them.

Because Prophesy in Isaiah made Judas' deception necessary, and Jesus, being a Rabbi knew that he needed a shill to betray him.

Because he knew Judas was going to betray him and he had to let him in order to pay for the sins of mankind.

One has to assume that it was not of any value for Jesus to do that. There are those who claim faith who do not have it and never will. Will it serve a purpose to confront them?
