I'll remember that later on when I am scrubbing the tub.

So srange you would ask this. Years ago, I was in a struggling church and we bought an old school for our first home. The bathrooms were terrible, as the building had been vandalized and the water had not been drained from the toilets. I asked for the job, and I feel it was the first time as a new Christian that God let me know that nothing done for Him is menial. Sometimes when I am cleaning my bathroom at home, I remember cleaning all those toilets years ago, and I smile.

Green, to be perfectly honest with you I do feel cleaning my bathroom is doing God's work. As the saying goes,''Cleanliness'' is next to ''Godliness''. I can't stand a dirty bathroom. But I strongly disagree with what is an action, ( Cleaning a toilet become Sacred?) Sounds like you worship the porcelain God when you put it in that Context. note: Not meant to be offensive, just plain moral sense of Humor. God Bless.

lol! Personally, no; I don't clean my bathroom unless I'm really sick of how dirty it's getting. However, I have met a Christian lady who would answer you with an enthusiastic "YES!" A few years ago, I went on a trip with a church group, and a hotel that we stayed in had a lady who cleaned the rooms and bathrooms. She was from another country, and by cleaning, she was helping put her son through school in the US. She was awesome; I just wish I could remember her name! She had such a great attitude even though she was doing one of the most menial of chores on a regular basis.

I need to do that now...been putting it off...thanks for the motivation LOL! Actually, my son does like cleaning the toilet...but only because I use Kaboom and he likes to watch it foam up!
Humorous yes, but I think you have something here...the Clean Sweep folks would take one look at my place and run screaming into the night...perhaps an attitude adjustment...sacred, that might do it *smile*.

LOL!
Funny, but I never really thought God would care what my bathroom looks like.
Said that way though, maybe you do have something here regarding the loving service.
Blessings!!

I do all the work in my home because it's the way I want my home to be - clean. Anything else just builds resentment.
I do some things, others in my home do other things. We work together, and our COOPERATION is the service to each other - not some notion that what we do is menial or subservient, and that anybody is "lowly" or undeserving of respect. Those in my household would never ask that of me, nor would I ask it of them, because I value them too much.

I do all things as unto my Lord & Savior, even cleaning the toilet.
In all things I do, I do in the Name of the Lord.
It is best to clean your toilet as best you can, as unto the Lord. And it does make a nicer toilet for the whole family.

No. I clean the bathroom and toilet because it's unhygienic not to and I don't like seeing grubby basins baths showers and toilets. I dedicate my rational approach to bathroom cleaning to atheism.

I had a nightmare experience on a bus.
The toilet was so full that it was over flowing and I had to go.
That's why I clean my toilet. Plus my cats drink out of it and I'm trying to stop them.

I agree with you. It is truly an expression of love. If we offer up the tedious tasks and do them unto the Lord they become easier and seem to take on new meaning....Nice Question!
