I don't think Christians are really persecuted. In the US, where I live, they are free to worship and believe what they want to, and they are in the majority. Muslims are persecuted much more than Christians, but they are still free to believe what they want and worship in whatever way they feel is appropriate.
That said, I don't think outsiders can truly destroy a religion...I think religious destruction has to come from within the religion itself. Sure, governments can suppress beliefs, but there are always places where those who are persecuted can go and have freedom of religion. And while all might not escape, some will, and the religion will continue to exist. Look at Judaism - Hitler and Germany did everything they could to wipe out the Jews, and they were unsuccessful. So I think the only way a religion can be destroyed is if there isn't anything left for the people in it, and they leave; or the religion prohibits sexual intercourse, and thus there are no children born into the religion.

I have doubts now. yet what it would want to take for me to thoroughly abandon my faith is irrefutable medical evidence that deities can not probably exist. no human being has that evidence, any better than each person has directs evidence that God exists. As for the logical fallacies, genocide, homophobia and misogyny, that is what made me go away Christianity interior the no longer-so-distant previous. My new chosen route did not extremely artwork out, and something about Christianity saved calling me decrease back. i love particular issues about Christianity to the point that I continually experience drawn decrease back to it, yet I have severe doubts and severe questions. i changed into raised in a devoutly Christian abode and changed into warned from earliest early existence about Hell. you may snort at that, yet at the same time as all and assorted you already know and trust as a newborn tells you you'll burn in Hell, you improve up believing it. those messages never flow away, no count number number how a lot you try to demonstrate them off. never lower price the potential of early preparation. yet i'm no longer absolutely that worried about the afterlife. i trust that Christ had a message of charity and peace it extremely is crucial to me, in my view. there are particular Christian devotions which have a deep religious meaning for me, and that i do not favor to be close off from them continuously in basic terms because I have questions.

Jesus said that persecution comes with being a Christian. Because people in the world who hate the light because their ways are evil, then they will hate Jesus Christ & those who love Jesus Christ.
Even though people have martyred countless Christians. Martyred Christians rule & reign with Christ in the Millinnium. So? Persecution actually develops strength in the Christian to stay in the faith & trust God in all things. And they find their strength in Christ. And they also they are rewarded to rule & reign with Christ.
Martyred is being persecuted for Christ & the Gospel of the Kingdoms sake. The word martyred really just means persecuted. But since sooo many early Christians were martyred to death, martyr now means that to die for Christ.

Because it is a witness to the world how a Christian reacts to death and persecution. When we die or are tortured, we face it with courage and hope. We do not scream and beg as a person with no hope, but we know that God gives us the grace to handle what Satan might force upon us. We know that we have a loving Father who is waiting for us and we are eager to be with Him.

Because God gives us the strength to over come persecutions. We only need to trust Him. People have tried for thousands of years to destroy Christianity, and because they are unable to, should tell people that something stronger then us, is helping us to persevere.

Because Christian persecution is largely a myth. Christians talk about being persecuted, but unless you live in the middle east, it doesn't exist. There are few Christians living in anti-Christian nations where persecution is closer to reality.
If the entire world was against Christianity as claimed by the bible, it wouldn't last long.

Christians have persecuted many. As a result, there is a backlash that will be ever growing. When you do not tolerate others, others will not tolerate you. But many Christians are in the process of evolving their faith into a better version without the lies and intolerance, etc. The extremists will eventually, over time of course, be on the outer limits.

It's coming. Only recently has a challenge to any type of religion begun to gain ground. It's going to take more than a couple of generations to wake the ignorant.

well... its isnt getting destroyed... its just starting to fall apart. 300 years ago...100% of the worlds populations believed in some sort of all powerful deity.... now its like 85 or 90% believe. so, in all reality... religion has been losing slowly...and will continue to do so into the future.
just like why we dont believe in thor or odin or zeus or ra or set or isis anymore. science...starts to prevail. and in the end...we need to be a moral race with out the threat of a god to punish us to be moral
