I bought a 2006 volkswagen golf gls in early '07, i paid 18,000 for it, only had a little over 10K on it. Not a bad deal, Its a 5 spd, white, and handles great. ONly problem I have with it is the bat died a few days ago. I called AAA and they came out and jumped it for me. It ran good for a day or two, then the bat died again. I don't know much about cars, so what could the problem be? I do not have any aftermarket parts on it or anything that would drain the bat. Mabye the bat just needs replaced, I have no idea. So if anyone out there has an answer, thank you.

The cause could be more than one, it could be battery, alternators, burned wires etc. Please do not start replacing parts.
First of all, get the battery full charged and tested,if its ok then do output check of the alternator, as well as voltage drop on the charge circuit both positive and negative sides.Excess drop in voltage to the battery means you have either loose or rusty contacts or burned wires.
If all the circuit looks ok,retest the output of the alternator (voltage and current check) after a long drive , say 45 minutes. It could be that the output drop only after a long hot drive. If you are not a mechanic, then do these in a competent shop.
I hope some of this helps.

maximum VWs have not got an immobilizer, and it does not even crank over if it have been introduced on. Your first experience with it shows it started lower back after sitting, so it rather is maximum probable a clogged gas clear out. Water in the gas will try this very without postpone. And a gas rigidity gauge will without postpone inform you if it extremely is the priority. rigidity would desire to be over 40 5 psi. With a clogged gas clear out, it is going to likely be under 35 psi. If gas ok, then flow directly to spark. placed an previous plug under pressure out to the pinnacle on the coil cord, and spot no depend if it rather is powerful blue spark. If not, verify the crank place sensor, capability on the coil, and ecu connections. If spark and gas ok, then verify for slipped timing belt, with camshaft place.

NEVER replace any part till you know the problem. Take your car and have the alternator and battery and the charging system tested. Could be as simple as fuse or loose connection.
