do all children not have a right to choose what they believe? Why do they have no right to be free from religion until they have found their own path?

Because they don't really believe in freedom. They believe in control.
Control pregnant women. Control what choices are available. Control children. Control the search for truth. Control what's taught in schools. Control whether advertisers say "Christmas."

It's all about control, man.

Same reason parents get the right to raise them--it's their child. Any person can accept or reject God or religion once they reach the age of understanding but it's a parent's duty to raise them as best they know how and with what beliefs they have learned or accepted. Always has been.
Why is it always the child that gets to die....they had no say in the matter. Why not put all the names of the people involved in the abortion in a bowl and pick one to die.....father, mother, doctor, nurse, clinic owner, politician that made the law, judge that upheld the law, etc... Who speaks for the child or protects their right to privacy and free will. If we're going to take someones life, shouldn't it be fair to ALL, including the child.

They have the right to be raised by their parents and told what their parents believe, they have the right to once they get old enough be offered information on all other beliefs, and they have the right to then at an appropriate age choose for themselves, but it would be wreckless of a parent to not allow their child to be raised the way they believe, and left out of their religion untill they are of age.

Each child has the right to be born and each has the right to be treated equal. Once born, let's just give children the right to carry a gun to school until they figure out the harm and prison time that could come from the weapon. Lets allow them to see porno until they figure out if they like it or not. Do you see where this is going? I teach my child about my faith and beliefs becuase I believe that I am held accountable as a steward over her life. I do not own her or rule over her. Instead, I am here to guide her through life to help her make wise choices. Once she is out of my house she may do as she chooses. As long as I have authority over her she must honor the individuals who birthed her and gave her opportunities in life. If she chooses another religion, then and only then, must I honor her choice.

You assume that freedom from religion is a good thing. Poor assumption. Silly comparison too.
And what's this about finding their own path?
Do you really believe they will "find" their own path?
We are all influenced by our environment, friends, family, the media, teachers, experiences, etc. Why would parents deprive their own children of the family faith?

Because every child has the right to a good education, one that enlightens him and tells him about the truth. Why should we keep the truth about God from children. That would be a crime worse than death.

They do have a right to choose. In fact, they all have a God given right. Free will. And just as was in another answer, a right to choose everlasting life.

Parents also have the right to teach their children in the religion (or lack thereof) of their choice. They are certainly free to reject it if they choose.

It's called brain washing, that seems to be common with most religions. All parents force their opinions on their children, and most times people never seek and form ones of their own.

If zygotes are people then that makes God the biggest child killer in history.

All those zygotes that fail to embed in the uterus. All those miscarriages. That is Gods will that those innocent babies die.
