It is really hard to come up with a meaningful definition consistent with the god beliefs men have believed throughout history so I don't try. Instead I use the definition of "an intelligent creator of the universe", then I am an atheist according to that definition because I don't believe the universe was created.

I realize this definition does not include well over 90% of the god characters man has made up but it avoids me having to make the arguement that Thor does not exist, which is simply not an arguement which interests me.

A definition is a definition; definitions do not have religions.

As to how an atheist defines "God" - you'll have to wait for an atheist to answer to find out.

People who put limitations on their questions tend to get VERY limited answers.

A "god" is a concept that humans have of a being that has supernatural qualities of some kind and is capable of creating life, planets, galaxies, weather patterns, etc.

A "god" is also an answer for everything those same humans simply don't know.

God is supposedly some supernatural invisible being that created the universe, the earth, and all living and non-living things in it.....

There have been other attributes that have been given to god by various religious groups, however, they are not able to even agree.
