What happens to their souls? Do you think a person who believes in God, but still kill themselves can still go to heaven?

I know someone who's about to kill herself or someone else..her mind's really disturbed.

I think some people are missing the point, how am I a selfish fool?

If I didn't care I would be smoking pot right now and laughing at growing grass. I do care, you don't know who that she is!

I believe it really depends on the situation. The Bible says God judges a man's heart. I have no doubt that He knows those who aren't sane, and judges them by a different standard than the rest of us. I know a lot of people believe that suicide is the murder of self, and that you can't repent for it and go to hell for it, but there is no Biblical quote I can find that really backs that up.

That being said, if you know someone who is THAT disturbed, it is your duty as a human being to tell someone in authority. Get that person help whether they want it or not. Talk to a school counselor, call an 800 help line, call the police if you have to, but intervene. The person you know may very well be hoping you do so.

Good luck.

Well, first of all you should be helping your friend get help before they do do something horrible.
Secondly, my best friend commited suicide last may. He was an excellent kid. he had barely any flaws. He wasn't a bad kid. I believe that it is wrong the people think just because you kill yourself you're going to hell. Erik Killed himself to get out of a bad situation. he was bullied every fricken day of his life and he couldn't take it anymore.
Yes, I do realize that if he would have waited 1 more year he would have been out of the hell hole they call public school, but what I know is that he did NOT go to hell. There is no way, no how. If you want to see what he looked like and what a good kid is, go to youtube and type in RIP Twiggy. He died on May 20 if you would like more info.
Also, I am Agnostic and I do not belive in god, hevan, hell, pergatory, the devil, or any of that mumbo jumbo, but if I did and if there was really any of thos things, I believe he is in heaven. RIP Erik Twiggy Mohat!!!

You die. That's all.

What happens to your soul? Assuming you have a soul (and no one knows the answer to that), whatever is going to happen to it will happen no matter what you believe.

Now that the crap part of your question is out of the way, let's talk about this "disturbed" person you know "who's about to kill herself or someone else". You might want to contact the police instead of sending questions to a website.

But what the hell, it's probably too late now anyway.

The Catholic church's dogma says no...

Most believe, if you take your life, you turn your back on God because the taking of one's own life is a statement to God that you just don't believe in His ability to rescue you from your circumstance.

Mental illness is a serious matter... one in which new treatments and therapies are being realized everyday. Unfortunately, not everyone can be saved from their own actions.

To deliberately take your life is one thing, but when the mind is under great duress, prolonged depression, etc., only God can bring final judgement upon that individual.

Where their soul goes? Who cares?!?!?

You go home to that God who gave you life. Your physical body is placed into the grave, and your spiritual body returns to heaven. You are received into the next world like any other deceased spirit.
You will feel the love of God as you return "home." However, there will also be a sadness involved, as you realize that you have taken a life; a life that was a gift of God. There will be some distinct disappointment that your life did not complete the "purpose" that it was given to do here.

I believe that someone who loves God but is mixed up enough to take their own life still goes to God. There are really only two states - with God and without Him. The other one has been called 'hell' but there is really no such place. It is just a state of being 'without' or 'at odds with' God.

The most important thing to remember is that God created us and loves us. He wants us to be with Him. When we are not, it hurts Him in exactly the way that it hurts a parent when a child is broken and cold with them. It's important to remember that we are all hurt by other people but it doesn't stop us loving them. God understands that and can cope with that sort of pain MUCH better than we ever do. He never stops loving and never thinks (with anger) of the pain that He suffers (as we often do). In the person of His son, Jesus, He suffered the ultimate pain and rejection of being killed on the cross (if you understand that mystery properly), so any other pain that we cause Him has already been taken care of.

I think that what you are really asking is: 'What do I need to tell this person so that I can help her not to go that way?'

You need to talk with her many times and gently to help her believe that God loves her and is there to help her through every bad patch there ever was. She needs to understand that life is worth living because it only gets better. She needs to know that insoluble problems become soluble when they are shared. If you are counselling her, take one small problem - like how impossible it is to even take out the trash when it needs doing - and share it with you ... then share it together in prayer with God. Concentrate on that problem only; pray about it and share it with Him and then wait for a solution. I promise that it will not be long coming! That will help her have a little faith that God does really love us as a mother loves a child.

Once one has understood how God loves us and wants to help us in the little, mundane problems, it is easier to come to Him with faith that He will help with the bigger problems.

Once one is dead, there is nothing more that we can do on this earth. If we suffer but are still alive, there are many ways in which we can begin to change things.

Their souls will be in a horrible place called hell. No even though you believe in god and kill yourself, you still won't go to heaven because humans are god's creations. And try talking to that person along with his/ her family members and try to talk why that person's mind is disturbed.

I do not believe in God or souls so I cannot answer your question in the manner that you are asking but...
I do know that they hurt the ones left behind to pick up the pieces. I do hope you can talk this person into seeking help
♥ya Liz and good luck

I believe that they go to hell because they took their own life. God decides when people die, not the person. It was selfish and not right. Even if the circumstances are terrible, Jesus didn't just kill himself right away to get out of the pain. He held out until he died.

Get her help!!! Leave the judgment to God, only He knows the heart & the events that led to that act. I don't condone suicide. I did have a friend who was somewhat out of her mind and went for a swim in icy water with the intent of dying because the pain was overwhelming. Where is she??? Only God knows! Let God decide. We couldn't change it anyway!!!
