I've been living here since I was 8 years and being illegal is just starting to take its toll on me. Even though I get good grades and speak perfect english; I can't get a job, a drivers licence, or scholarships. I realize that if a stay here ill probably just end up in a dead end job. If I go back to Mexico, at least I will have a chance to go to college. And nobody can call me a ******* over there.

You could go back, and apply to come here legally... that would be the best of both worlds, wouldn't it?

Why don't you go back, and go to college. In the meantime, apply so that you can legally immigrate back when you are finsihed with your degree. There is a high demand for people fluent in more than one language, and if you come back legally, with an education, then they sky's the limit for you. Not being nasty, just saying that would probably be the best plan for your future. Especially if you are interested in something like cultural or urban studies, there is a need for people with that type of education, and experience living in different places.

I was born in the USA and lived here until 2000. I told my family that if bush got elected I was moving to Mexico. I did and lived there two years and only returned because my father had a heart attack and I had to help care for him. I am now planning on going back again. I loved the people, the food, the culture, and the lack of pretense and arrogance that is so apart of being American. You speak English well, and Spanish, and you will have tons of opportunities that other Mexicans won't have. I would say go back and make the most of it. America is just not what it was even thirty years ago. Good luck to you. And good luck USA, you need it.

I know it is hard for you...mi esposo es Mexicano and hasn't seen his family in years!!! It is totally up to you. You could stay here and apply to be legal...talk to an immigration lawyer and see what your options are due to the fact that you came here at such a young age. Best wishes y cuidate!!!

Lets look, You are agree, that you came here and lived here illegally. My country already spent a lot of money to teach you, provide you with health care. Now, since you grow-up, you expect to get driver license, and scholarship. Correct?
Ar the same time, we have another generation of young people, who either citizens of USA or legally live here.

Would it fare to them not to receive scholarship, because you took it? I do not think so.

Go home and nobody can call you a ******* over there.

Jose i say you should stay you get good grades. If you stay you can save money to put yourself through college. Also you can get a loan from a bank, just apply for an ITIN when you get your job. America needs more people like you. pardona las idiotas they will be judged someday too when that day comes when San Pedro recalls the things their black heart says he will send them down where they belong.

You would have lots of opportunities if you speak perfect English. By the way, I hate to rub it in, but if you see how much restrictions and requirements we had to follow in order to be here legally, you would be less bitter and understand why it should be considered a previllege, not an entitlement, to be here legally!!

I know the feeling son, I have been in America for sixty years, served in Viet Nam infantry and came home with no job, no money no fun and people called me all sorts of names even though I was a draftee. Now at retirement age it is hard for me to live on a meager pension when I have to support millions of illegal aliens and their bambinos. The same politicians who sent me off to war as a teenager are telling me that non-citizens have more rights than me, their native son. Sounds like sour grapes my son but these are facts. I wish you good luck on either avenue that you deceide.

Now THAT is some good thinking. Go back on your own with your head held high instead of being scarred for life when America catches up with you and deports you.
