No one gets "given" a race and the other 42 showed up because 1 it is how they earn thier living, 2 sponsors pay for them to be there in their cars, 3 the fans expect to see 43 cars not 1. I have a few other comments, but will keep them to myself at this time

I agree with you-except the number. While the other drivers still raced as hard as they could even after being eliminated from the chase, as far as media coverage there were 41 non-entities out there; it was the Jeff & Jimmie Show from start to finish. Just like last year.

Congratulations to Matt Kenseth for his invisible win.

The same reason all the other drivers not in the Chase showed up after they were eliminated from the Chase. They are racers and are there to try to win the race. Not everybody is a quitter.

Exactly!
The media has hyped the chase since the July race at Daytona. Then they were saying the chase and championship was going to be between Jimmie and Jeff. Then since the middle of the chase Jimmie was given the championship. The media was focusing on him in print and on the air.
This year has been an empty year.
Congrats Jimmie and Hendrick Racing.

B.S>!! Jimmie could've blown the title today with a stupid mistake or bad luck.
Besides, Kenseth won the race.
Nothing as pathetic as a sore loser.
