Would it cost a lot to install iron sights on a rifle that did not come with them from the factory ?

I'm aware that it would cost differently from gun shop to gun shop. I would just like a round about price

kinda depends on the place you go. But it shouldn't be more than $200.00.

Most gunsmiths can put a set of iron sights on a rifle for no more than $100 but this can vary depending on where you live.

Definitely leave this job to a professional to get it done right.
A good set of iron sights for a standard type bolt-gun, with installation, shouldn't run more than $100-125.
I've had this done to a Mauser & a Springfield both, but it has been years ago.

Depends on the rifle, too. Some rifles are easier to put sights on that others.

ooh, it is a shame you are so far away, my Hubby is a gunsmith. Sadly, the prices would be very different here in the UK, so I can't give you a comparison :(
He did say you would probably be able to do it yourself though, unless it is an unusual rifle.
What is it, and what sort are you considering, he'll be able to advise you, if you can let us know :)
