I would have to say I am a dog person, but I moved in to my Dad's home away from home, and he has 3 indoor cats, and 7 wild cats that live in the barn, but the way are all fixed. I came with 4 of my 7 dogs, and my husband has the other 3 in Mississippi and they come to visit. When I got my first dog I already had a cat, and so it is hard to say what I am, but really I love my dogs more.

I grew up only having dogs as pets and I do love them, I have a black lab now. When I moved into my own apt in a city, I decided it wouldn't be fair to a dog with no place to run around, so I got 2 cats. I fell in love with them and have been a cat person ever since...25 years now. Different cats obviously, in fact I have 3 now that are 12, 11 and 4 years old(and the dog), but my cats are real affectionate, all 3 cuddle with me in bed everynight (as did my previous cats).

I am a life long cat person, although I've had one or two dogs and liked them well enough. I just love everything about cats (even the fact that they ignore you sometimes) I don't think it's fair to have a dog unless you can give them all the attention that they need (and they rarely ignore you).

I like both, but I just can't keep a dog right now. Still, if I see someone walking his/her dog, I always say hi to the dog. I live with a very territorial cat who would be furious if I tried to bring home another cat.

Before my Dad got us a cat I wanted a dog but now I prefer cats cos they are easier to look after and they are not as noisy as dogs. I used to think that cats would just bite and scratch but I've been lucky cos the first cat we got was a big soft cuddly thing and the second one is just adorable.

I never wanted either, until my niece rescued a little pup from being drowned - I took the pup home until I could find a good home for it. That was 7 years ago - and the dog is still with me. Then 4 years ago, we went to the animal shelter to get a companion for the first dog.
So - I have 2 now - and I don't know how I ever lived without them.
They both HATE cats!

I am a two cat person now but working my way to becoming a dog person too, it is a real possibility.
