i need a recipe before thanksgiving for coconut shrimp that does not use Beer, is it possible? and is there a recipe with a side sause?

There are recipes for coconut shrimp without any beer in them, but if you already have a recipe on hand, just substitute the beer for ginger ale, or sprite. Will give it a sweeter taste, and with sprite the lemon lime taste accents the shrimp very well.

They just use beer to make the batter more flavorful, all the alcohal cooks outs, so you dont have to worry about that. But if you dont want to use beer try this:

I actually have looked infact but I think its a long shot to find one without beer. But the ones with beer you hardly taste. But here is one but I don't think it will taste quite as right.

You can substitute the beer with club soda. Both are used to provide assistance in leavening and to help with making a light fluffy product.
