ROFLBHODTIMEPIMP (rolling on floor laughing, banging head on desk, tears in my eyes, peeing in my pants.)
NO! They were dead, so I'm thinking, they didn't have a clue.
I'm sorry, I really don't mean to make fun, but read your question. It reads like some of those on accident claim forms..
"Coming home I pulled into the wrong driveway and collided with a tree I don't have."
"The pedestrian had no idea which way to run so I ran over him."
Peace.

All those people had been given Harry turtledove "Alternative History" novels about 9/11 before they went to The Great Beyond.
They thought it was a conspiracy of Videssians, of course.
Jeez. Why are you making fun of the victims? Isn't it bad enough that George W. Bush made USE of them to enmire us in the iraq War and that Rudy Giuliani, that Empty Suit, is riding those coattails?

How could they? They had no idea they were about to die in the instant before they did, let alone know WHO were responsible for their deaths.

The people in the buildings that actually did die instantly, had no clue.
The people on the planes on the other hand knew exactly who it was.
Thanks to the couragous bunch on flight 93.

No human alive today can possible know the answer to this question, and even if they said they knew the answer, it's boils down to whether or not you believe them.

The real question would be - do any of them even care?
I suspect worldly matters will not really be of any great concern to us on the other side - notwithstanding how much they may intrigue us now.

I would like to think that once a person dies, they're no longer aware of such things...especially if they're in heaven, should there be such a place.
