I like pink, but I don't want the color scheme to look too childish.

you could try doing vertical stripes around the entire room, in different sizes and in alternating colors

Orange Yellow and pink for something soft and fun......But if you want something with an actual theme I have always loved the whole zebra black and white with accents of pink. I would have loved to have that as my theme for my room when I was 15 :). Have fun!!

are you painting? if so, I would use "rose brocade" by Sherwin Williams as your wall color, and then use "natural choice" for the ceiling & any trim.

Then, I would use accents of OLIVE green. pink & green are a classic color combo, but using the deeper shades of rose & olive will keep it from looking like a little girl's room.

(I love "Timeless Vision" and "Heart of the Jungle").

And bedding in either olive or ivory would look pretty:

I like chocolate brown with any number of brights or pastels...turquoise, pink, apple green, white or cream etc. It is hip and modern...circles and stripes motifs go well with these colors.

for a modern look: medium pink, light pink, black and white.
for a country look: pastel pink, pastel blue, white and a touch of pastel green or yellow.
for a art deco theme: hot pink, lime green and a darker shade of lilac. accent with black.

if u want something not so bold, but a girly one, probably "inner child" for the walls, "quite coral" for the trim and the accent, and "techno gray" for the ceiling.

if u want something bold, then "mélange green" for the ceiling and walls, "olive grove for the trim and "pink flamingo" for the accent.
