What do you think the Chase has done to the real champions of the series?

I believe the chase has ruined ratings since its debut but thats my opinion.

Ruined it. Jeff is a 6 time champion in my book. You gotta reward the point leader if your going to have this god awful thing known as the chase.

I thought the format got changed since everyone bleated over Kenseth winning the '03 title with only one win? We can't have it both ways and now they've expanded the Chase to 12, we're stuck with it whether we like it or not.
What has the Chase done? Well, it's generated more interest around mid-season as the drivers are fighting to be part of it for the last 10 races...that's not a bad thing in my opinion *shrugs*
Ok, so Jeff's massive lead he built up was negated...everyone knew that would be the case when this thing started anyway. It doesn't take anything away from the fact he had a great season, the only reason he didn't win the title was due to Johnson belting everyone for the last month.

It never should have been changed--Not just because of Gordons bad luck in it but the Fact of It was Good enough for Richard Petty and Dale Sr. to win 7 a piece it is good enough for anybody else!!!!!

Man did Jeff get the "PURPLE SHAFT WITH THE BARBED WIRE CROSSES"
The inconsistancys in NASCAR were all over the place this year.

He got cheated out of championship #6. I am through with NASCAR, never watching again.
