You mean, why did humans create god when life is so interesting and comprehensible?

You need to be more positive about things I dont think life is meaningless and pointless. I believe God created us because he is creative and worthy of our praise and so we could take care of his creation. If you think life is meaningless and pointless you need to find a meaning and a point instead of being on the computer!

Who told you that??
How did GOD create anything??
At least without a GODDESS to help. All life needs a balance between the two.
I am sorry to hear that you think that life is meaningless and pointless, although until 7 years ago I would have agreed with you.
I hope that you find your meaning. I found mine when I found my wife and we had our son. This is not the route for everyone, but for me....my son is the reason for me to be here.
Rambling now, sorry

god is just another word for love, it is neither he nor she and cannot be defined, its all we have, it IS our point, its not a matter of something sitting down and thinking "hmmm, I'll create a fimo model of some human types..." its about love and humanity being what we use to recreate and to sustaiun outselves, face it, without love we'd all be killed off by one another and be extinct. Thus Love is all of what and only what God actually is. Its human beings oversite that so few can imagine the realist of this and choose to name it, design it and build it into a bearded man. Its also down to the human greed to own something weather it be thier own lives or thier access into heaven where they can continue to own and own and own eveything. Life and love are things we do not own, we do not own God and we cannot create a 2D God in the hope it will erase our fears that really, we are only here for a second. We were never meant to have a point.

Sounds as if its just meaningless and pointless to you. Feel a little sad and alone don't 'cha? Don't worry you'll feel better once you leave here. Either you'll be angry or sad, not so down in the dumps. Guranteed. Just ask a loaded question or swing some dead cats, and that's nothing against you 10pts4u.

Only your part of life and what you make of it in seventy [ 70 ] or so if you go to old age,
As being born in the imperfections of sin, any one can die at any age and it is a sad life alot [ but if God had wiped it all out, those that want it would not stand a chance, but for then and Christ our savior we are here ].
So our life is a short time considering Satan will have 6130 from Eden, and he had life before that.
Then it is our turn and he will not be there and we will be as perfect as we were meant to be at the start, all will be made as new as it was before Eden. So we get our chance at life the way it is in perfection. 2Pet.3:13; 1Cor.15:22-28;

ah my young grasshopper.. you are on your way to freedom. I too use to feel the same way. It was in this thinking that I found freedom.
If it really is pointless and meaningless, does this not give you freedom to do just about anything you want, after all what does it matter.
Live, question, experience, do the right thing (what you feel is right), through meaninglessness you will find meaning and purpose.

Just because we often think it is meaningless and pointless doesn't make it so.
I often feel the same way, but I even believe that "that feeling" is very important to our growth.

Presumption that God created life in the first place there.
Supposing God exists (I myself am Agnostic, just to clarify), then by definition God is perfect. Why would God need to create "Us" when we are an imperfection due to our sin etc. If God was perfect, surely God wouldn't need to add anything else to his already "perfect-ness"
