Recently My Mother Passed Away. She was the best Mother anyone could have ever had. She Worked for a Hospital and was a Fireman and a Youth Leader. She was loved by all in our small community. Nearly 2000 People came to her funeral

After she was Buried we Hired Columbus Arts Memorial to built and Place a Monument for her.

The Company sent out an employee to dig and pour the foundation for the headstone and footstone. The employee placed the footstone right on moms grave, right on top of her vault.

When we discovered this we asked that they place the footstone below her feet and we wanted to be there when they removed the stone to make sure there was no damage to her vault. The employee came and removed the footstone foundation before we arrived and then spit on her grave and cast his cigarette on her grave right in front of us. He then advised what a crappy vault we had, and how it will be full of water soon.

Our family is outraged and mad as hell. Would you be

Cemetery plots are about the size of the casket (or vault) in the ground. If they laid the stone other than on the grave, it would probably be on someone else's grave.

Insofar as the employee, go to the office of Columbus Arts Memorial, and speak to the manager. Tell him what happened. Tell him you want the defiled soil removed and replaced with clean soil. The employee will most likely lose his job. Incidently, those vaults are water tight.

I think I'd contact the guy's employer, demand that he fire the man AND that he deduct from the man's pay the cost of the services you had contracted the company to perform. Also convey the comments the employee made about the vault's watertightness and ask for a written assurance that it is waterproof - not water resistant: waterproof. In sum, you should get the monument for free; the bum should have to pay for it if the company can get it from him - if it can't, then the company should pay for it as an apology. I think any good lawyer would love to talk with you.

I would definitely be angered by this.My suggestion is that you go to his immediate supervisor and lodge a complaint. If this is a larger company, you may hve to go up the chain of management to get anything done about it.If nothing else, they should reimburse you a portion of the money for disrespecting your mother. If after you go through the management system, and still nothing is done, then I would file a small claims complaint. And no matter what, report this company to your local better business bureau.

Mad??? That worker would be in a hole in the ground. How dare that @sshole do that!!!! Report him. Let the company know. If they don't do "right by you",let them know you'll take an add out in the paper to let EVERYONE know what happen.

first, the cemetary decides how stones are to be placed. talk to them about that. second, i'd lay into that guy like there's no tomorrow and then i'd make a stink to the owner in front of others.
