Flower allergy sufferers -- what types of flowers are you least allergic to?

I am getting married next June and have a bridesmaid who is allergic to many types of flowers (like lilies and wildflowers). I still want to use real flowers in my wedding, if possible. I was planning to go with an English wildflower wedding theme. What types of flowers could I consider using in her bouquet? (I have heard sometimes that if all the pollen is removed from the flowers, this prevents many allergic reactions.)

Roses, for sure. Their pollen is too large to infiltrate the respiratory system or become easily airborne. As a matter of fact, most cut flowers have pollen which is not problematic for allergies just for this reason. Wildflowers, though, have smaller pollen grains, so they become more airborn and people breathe them in and become sensitized to them.

Most people are actually allergic to grass, weed and tree pollen that is tiny and easily airborne. Avoid any tree flowers in your arrangements, like flowering almond branches, etc.

Also, some very sensitive people are reactive to scents.. so candles, fireplaces, cigarrete smoke and yes, the scent of some flowers can irritate their respiratory passages, although this isn't usually a IgE mediated response (true allergy).
