I know your question is posed half in jest or even 95% in jest. I'll answer seriously anyhow, from a Christian perspective.
The conventional wisdom, which I believe to be true, is to get out of the way and let God do the work. The devil wants us to rely on ourselves, even when we are opposing him.
The other conventional wisdom, which I believe to be true and to be more important, is to stay away from the devil. Don't respond to his challenges or even listen to them. He's an experienced professional, and he's very patient and persistent and dedicated. Head the other direction.

You can't defeat the devil. Jesus already did that at the cross. If the devil is after you, you need to put on the "full armor of God", or you need to flee!
